What is that on my alocasia odora? Aphids?
Is there any way to help her? I’ve been watering according to the app. She got some little white bugs all over her but they seem to have gone away.
white fuzz on my felt bush :(. just came back from vacation last night and found this white fuzz growing on the base of the plant where some of the previous lead growths were. should i be concerned? how do i treat it? how do i prevent it? thank you so much :)
So, I am rescuing this little guy. Seems he is a ginseng bonsai ficus? Not sure. I found spider mites and removed as much as I could, trimmed him up and isolated him. Placed him in our plant hospital and under a grow light. I added some cinnamon to the open branches and hoping for a great come back. Anything else? I really want to save him. He was a victim of over watering, then no watering and needed a new pot that helped him drain. I use a cactus/tropical blend soil because they seem to do well with me with that soil. I also added some clay beads to the bottom... this is a fully draining pot. (Like the smaller black one on top of the white)
picked this guy up from the store because he could use some love, any suggestions?
My favorite plant (Frizzle Sizzle) was completely fine when i left which was only three days ago, however i came back to the leaves being brown and droopy, and the bulb being a mushy mess, i don’t know what happened, is this salvageable or do i have to toss her
Any ideas on what I’m doing wrong? Just looking somewhere to start on what could be wrong
what is everyone favorite soil mixture? something chunky and not going to retain a ton of water? the soil in about half of my plants seems to stay really wet, so at this point i’m so scared of root rot so i want to be proactive
Huh plant lovers I needddd help !!!! I left my tropicana outside in the sun for a long time how can I revive her? 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Any suggestions on saving this bonsai ficus? Inherited it this weekend along with a half dead lucky bamboo shoot. 😑 I have drained and cleaned him up, watered him up and fed him. Keeping him in shady, humid area until I see new leaves... the nearly dead ones perked up.
My curly ivy is turning brown and drying up at the base, how do I stop it?
I have a hibiscus plant that’s been outside my house for years. We basically just ignore it typically cause it’s been growing fine on it’s own for so long. But lately I noticed this white stuff all over it. I treated it with an insecticide and neem oil over the last week or two and seen no improvement. Anyone know what this is and what I can do?? I don’t want this plant to die after being here for so long :(
Any ideas on what I can do to stop this??
Hi, I was having trouble with my Dracaena. I got really good advice here and she seems better. Someone recommended getting a grow light. Maybe she will be happier. Do you have any recommendations ? I’m looking for something small and not to expensive
I have no clue what is wrong with my calathea! It used to be very healthy but one day after giving it some new soil, it’s leaves started curling. The next day, more started curling and becoming yellow, droopy, and crispy. I had watered it the previous day after giving it new soil but it had not done anything. I cut away the yellow and curly leaves in hopes of it getting better; it did not. It continued yellowing and becoming crispy so I moved it to a shadier place, thinking it was getting too much sun. Eventually I moved it back to where it was; about eight feet away from my south facing window. As you can see it has two leaves left but they are both yellowing and getting crispy. Please help!! btw - I am newer to plants as I have just started caring for them in late January.
This stuff works amazingly on pests! I’ve had spider mites, aphids, and thrips issues before. Most of the time one treatment was enough. It smells like a fishy ocean, so use outside!
Anyone know what would be causing this? It’s on my golden pothos. I checked for spider mites and thrips and couldn’t see anything.
Anyone have a clue to what is this creature??? Found on my Birds Nest Fern. Tiny but it’s on my thumb appears to be a beetle maybe or?
Is the Planta advice for Cyclamen good? I received this plant for Valentine’s Day and had it in this location. The leaves were dark green and and the plant a beautiful shape. I have not had any indoor plants for years due to a child with allergies, but this little guy made me curious about them again. A friend recommended this app, and the app recommended I repot it from the metal pot with no drainage and put it closer to the window. I did that and everything seemed great for awhile, but a couple of weeks ago the leaves were curling and turning a bit yellow so I thought it needed water. Planta thinks I’ve overwatered and need to move it to a brighter application so I tried that and now it’s looking even yellower and getting this long stemmy look to it. Is it just in shock from the repotting and I need to be patient? I haven’t done any more extra watering than the one time but it gets really dry between when I follow Planta’s recommendation. Any advice us greatly appreciated!
She had spider mites.. Sprayed with soapy water (as per advice i was given) and she dropped three stems + leaves and looks like this now. These two stems don't feel squishy or anything anymore... Help! Pink Dragon or Pink Princess Alocasia.
