Are the roots on this pothos cutting viable? They are firm/not squishy, but the brownish color is concerning me. This is after rinsing and rubbing the soil off

I just discovered these small fuzzy white things in my ginseng ficus. Is this a pest or what is going on here?!?!

My ponytail palm has been gradually dying all winter. Its ends are completely crispy even after watering it. Now the top of the soil is dry but the bottom is soaking wet. Should I pull the leaves off or cut them? What do I do?

My ponytail palms leave turned dry and yellow with black patches. I pulled all her leaves out (idk why) hoping she would regrow.. Can I still save her. Is she dead?

Oh fungus gnats you are amazing and frustrating all at the same time. Apparently we can’t freeze off fungus gnats. A scientist at the university of Alaska tried to freeze fungus gnats and they survived -100°F Fahrenheit. 😒 Edit- I learned this right after I got frustrated and put my potting soil bags (which are in bins) outside in the snow thinking I would freeze the f’ers 😹 immediately went and got them. lol sigh. Hydrogen peroxide and mosquito bits it is.

Want to see the effects of “root bound?” A $3 special, everything I (briefly) read said to keep this species (or flavor of that species) out of direct sun; it forms webs that show you it has had direct sun. However, the Wal-Mart label said full sun. I have tried a combo, but the plant started shriveling at the base. It was definitely alive and reaching for light. None of that matters if your plant isn’t absorbing water lol. I reckon it had some light drinks over the past few months while it continued to compact into a clod. I gave it a real good soak, softened up the root ball and leveled out the soil. I’m gradually repairing my hasty approaches. I still feel like a bonehead over not understanding concepts such as “don’t use immovable rocks in the pot.” I got the idea of growing sucs on top of porous stones, but that doesn’t work in a four-inch pot. Well, it works to make your roots compact argh. This plant was also a patient of Operation Neem, which I think took a toll on the leaves.

My string of pearls is struggling 😭 his pearls completely dried out at the roots but the strings are still luscious and green. Under watered? Dr.Planta said overwatered but his soil was completely dry. I just fertilized him today. Please help!! 🙏🏼

Syngonium and I are struggling lol I don’t know what to do with it. Needed a repot, so I did that about a week ago and within just a couple days it got all sad and droopy. Gets a lot of indirect bright light. I repotted and watered the next day. I don’t know why I can’t seem to keep these plants healthy 🙄 Not sure if I need to check roots again or add more chunky stuff to the soil or not water it or water it or what. Pot has drainage. Soil is moist but not wet. Some online research is saying they like moist soil, no direct sun so I’m doing that but it’s still looking worse. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Got this plant from my sister and want to keep it alive!!

Can I save this Pothos? I brought it home last year and it almost immediately dropped ALL its leaves. I’ve been following the watering and light guidelines in hopes that it would come back but I’m scared now it’s a lost cause. Am I better off trying to propagate and start over?

Hi all, My pink panther is getting brown leaves interspersed with good foliage. Any idea what’s causing the browning? I have her planted in an aroid soil and she’s under grow lights. I water her according to the app but am wondering if it’s under-watering.

Hey guys, So I’m a fairly new plant mom. I’ve had my pothos for about 4 months now and we’ve been going so strong! All of a sudden it’s dying and I’m not sure if it was because of me overwatering the plant or if it has to do with the cold temps outside. It sits on a windowsill because that is the only light source available in my home. I have a grow light that I recently moved it under (further away from windowsills) and it hasn’t helped much :/ Also, I have weird spots on my plants that look like someone cut it. I doubt that is the case, but am unsure what pest infestation may look like. I’ve attached images below for reference. Any info will help (:

I am struggling to work out if I have a problem pest. There are very tiny white insect visible on the soil surface. They have long bodies (as in not round) with antenna. They mostly crawl around but do jump if I move the plant. They are just on the soil, not on the leaves. The leaves are in good shape and colour so I’m hoping these are just soil mites but I would like some second opinions. I tried to take a picture but they are so small they are not going to show up. Thank you!

What should I do for this pothos with curling leaves and its new leaves not unfurling? It doesn’t get much light where it is and I just repotted it cause it was root bound. It is new.

is there anyway to revive a frozen money tree from being outside? So upset 😭😩

Indoor plant issue

I have a catch 22 with my indoor house plants. They like being outside on my porch and thrive there. Much better there because they actually get some indirect sunlight. I prefer them there too because then I don’t get so many fruit flies from them inside. However, it has become winter and they no longer survive in the cold. I brought my money tree in and it appears to be frozen and not doing so well. So do I keep them inside, away from Sun which they don’t like, and I get fruit flies, or, can I put them on my patio and have them suffer the cold (30* at night)? I feel like I lose either way.
