Anyone know the best way to treat root rot in monstera Thai cons? I got my second one today - it was shipped to me - and a good chunk of roots were rotted out. I currently have her in a hydrogen peroxide & water bath to kill off any remaining bacteria that might be present. How should I go about potting her - she was shipped in a sphagnum moss ball - and trying to prevent further root rot? Once she’s finished with the root bath, I’m going to let the roots dry for a bit before doing anything. Any and *all* advice is very welcome. I’m not used to root-rot and don’t have a lot of experience with it. Her leaves look good and a bit damaged from shipping but nothing else has gone bad so far.

Help! My baby olive tree died from under watering within its first few weeks at our home but is regenerating leaves at the bottom. Do I need to cut off the top parts and if so where do I cut?

Does anyone have any tried and true methods to get rid of gnats? We are struggling with them over here. I’ve seen some stuff on fb but I don’t want to kill my baby!

I’ve had my ficus Audrey for a year and some change now. She’s the first plant that got me into plants! But after seeing other ficus Audrey at the nursery where I work, I noticed her leaves are a lot lighter green, thinner, and her stem is a redder brown. comparatively, the ficus Audreys at my job have a greyer wood and dark green leaves with a paper-like thickness. Mine has grown a lot since I’ve gotten her, and her leaves are huge. Just wondering if she’s missing a nutrient or something, causing her leaves to grow so huge and thin.

Philodendron Burle Marx Two newer leaves came out very pale. Any thoughts on the cause? Otherwise, she looks very healthy to me. Repotted about a month ago. Plenty of new growth and healthy roots. Second pic shows full plant.

At what point do you decide you’re not cut out to be a plant parent? After a year of trial and error… I am still making lots of errors. 🫤

Any advice on how to get rid of thrips? I’ve been using neem oil but they keep reappearing. How can I get rid of them for good?

Anyone able to tell me what’s wrong with my poor pink princess? Her leaves feel paper thin and frail :( I picked her up and wanted to allow her to acclimate before I repotted her but I don’t think it’s a roots problem.

I had some drama today with my new Chlorophytum Fireflash. I think I caught it early. Using a DIY foliar spray of 1 gallon water, 1T baking soda, 1/2 t concentrated dish soap. Scooped offand replaced inch or so of soil from surface (until I could see roots). Going to keep treating and holding my breath until it’s gone. 🤢

This little leaf looks a little ragged and won’t stand up at night with the other leaves. Is it best to trim it or just leave it alone?

So my wife was super nice and bought me this Calathea during her lunch break but forgot to realize it being in the hot car all day was going to do some damage… any idea on how to salvage it?

Can anybody tell me what the heck is going on with this plant?! It’s a moonshine snake plant my MIL got us both one from marketplace and it’s been in rough shape since bringing it home. It’s in my bathroom and also has a grow light so I’m not sure if light is the issue but it’s colour isn’t great and it just doesn’t seem happy at all. Any tips? Maybe I could take the baby off the mother and try to start fresh?! Lol

What is this orange goo that keeps growing back on my plant?! I pulled off a chunk of this thick gooey stuff when I brought this home and repotted it, and I noticed a week later it has grown back! Is this a type of slime mold? Is it harmful?

We also got this Hot Banana pepper on Saturday it looked great and then the next day after playing all the leaves started dying

What are the best types of pots? And what about lucky bamboo in water, how do you care for it?

Any guesses what the issue is here with my Hoya? It’s been declining like this for the better of 2 years. Can’t be overwatering (I water when the leaves are soft). I also caved and tried watering more frequently this past spring spring and the leaves turned yellow so i stopped that. Sits in a south-facing window…
