Hello everyone!! Had this app for ages but never participated in the forums, glad to see a group dedicated to pests and problems i guess iāll be here more often š
I noticed this little white worm earlier in my tomato plant soil⦠white/translucent body with a brownish/red head. Are these healthy worms or should I be concerned? If they are damagingā¦. how can I get rid of them?
FYI, the photo of the fruits are purely just to showcase how beautiful they are. No signs of worms on the actual fruits/leaves š„¹
Thanks yāall!

This plant has had it rough since I got her. 3/4 of her trunks died and had to be removed after we moved to a new apartment and i was pretty neglectful during the moving time period. Recently Iāve been a lot more attentive, following plantaās schedule and for a while she was doing a lot better with new growth. This week, however, a couple days after watering with fertilizer she started dropping leaves. Is she a goner? š„ŗ

I finally managed to get my hands on a silver sword philodendron a few weeks ago and considering Iāve wanted one for the longest, I quickly fell in love with it. Shortly after bringing it home though, these weird spots began showing up on the leaves. Iāve been careful not to overwater it, kept it close to a west facing window and regularly treated the leaves with a spray. But yesterday, after losing multiple leaves, I made the difficult decision to remove any that looked diseased to stop any kind of spread.
This plant is one of my favorites, so I would hate to see it die. Everything Iāve read seems to indicate leaf spot disease, which Iāve never dealt with before, so any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Are these dark spots on my monstera something to worry about? Theyāre on the petiole of a newer leaf, worried it may be fungal but wasnāt sure if it was just physical damage, wanted to make sure. (Also pls ignore the dust on this guy š )

Rest in pieces, wobble cactus š It was doing just fine and then today I found it droopy and shriveled. Does anyone know what mightāve gone wrong?
Hopefully I can propagate the remaining healthy bits.

And back again with more plant issues. My monsteraās have mold that grows on the bottom and around some sides of the pot. This was never an issue until about a week and a half ago and I have no idea whatās causing it! One is a terracotta pot the other is a stone? Or maybe clay pot? I bought both from Home Depot. Anyone know how to treat this problem & prevent it in the future?
At this rate Iām feeling like the worst plant parent ever š¤¦š»āāļø

does anyone else LOVE plants but HATE bugs? i am actually terrified of bugs, they make my ears ring. pests have been such a problem because of that. any advice?
Meg
This is one of our oldest plants, weāve had it for around 5 years. Does anyone know what these little holes are under the leaves? We donāt want to lose it! Also any general advice is welcome. Itās hard to see in this picture but there are aerial roots coming from the big bend in the plant on the right. I love my plants but Iām not the best caretaker and I know I have plenty of room for improvement. I love that this forum is here and I look forward to making the most of it! š

Do you use herbicide and/or insecticide on your house plants?

Please help! I got my first Peperomia a couple months ago and I cannot figure out what this plant needs. I was told itās supposed to be fairly easy to take care of but no matter what Iāve tried it just keeps getting worse. I read online that itās a sort of tropical plant so I tried putting it in my greenhouse cabinet to increase its humidity, it didnāt seem to like that so I tried putting it with my regular plants and that hasnāt helped either. Iāve tried putting it closer to a light source, noticed that a lot of the leaves were turning brown around the edges and thought they might be getting burn spots so then I tried putting it farther away from the light. I do not think it is overwatered, I check to make sure the top 1-2 inches of soil is dry before I water it. I also donāt think itās under watered because Iāve been following the watering schedule and have also been watching it and water it early if I notice itās looking particularly dry. The pot also has a drainage hole and thereās a layer of gravel at the bottom of the pot to give the roots extra room and oxygen. No matter what I do itās continued to droop and the leaves turn brown. What am I doing wrong?

This is my grandmotherās peace lily. Iām not there, so I canāt inspect in person, and I donāt have any peace lilies, so I donāt really know them that well anyway. Sheās had this for decades, but just repotted it last summer. Ever since, it has not been doing well. Any suggestions?

Alocasia Leafs drooping and then yellowing one by one. Iāve already cut two off so far that were almost completely yellow.

Iām so sick of her. My first though was pests, but thereās nothing moving.
Have I watered her correctly? Nah. Does she get the right amount of light? Probably not. BUT DAMN. So fussy. How do people get these to thrive? Is it even possible?
Elin
I have released this years first batch of predatory mites, on all my plants, to battle thrips. Iām a huge fan of Bio-control and have used it both professionally and on my private plant collection. š
Have you tried any predatory insects or mites to deal with plant pests?

Hi Planta Community! I bought this plant a few months ago, and repotted it in a mix of potting soil, bark and perlite. It seem to be doing fine, but yesterday I found it had fallen over and the root system did not seem to have grown so much. Should I do something differently?
