What more can I do to help ? I found this plant in the garbage at my apartment complex some time back. She seemed to have been overwatered and squeezed into a small pot, she was also bluntly cut at random areas. We switched her pot to a bigger one that had drainage and she started sprouting!!! We give her water every 3rd day. I was wondering if I should take off any of her dying leaves ? Or really I’ll take any advice you guys may have for me. Also I’m not even sure what kind of plant she is or how much sun she needs (my balcony is mostly shady but her area gets about 6 hrs of sun) My friend also mentioned her damaged leaves could “infect” the other ones so I wanna make sure I do everything right, I was never a plant mom so I’m not familiar with plants. She’s my first real one and I’m excited she’s already sprouting new leaves so I wanna make sure I keep her healthy. Thanks in advanced!

Just a quick Question from a new excited Plant Mom. I see on this app that they advertise liquid fertilizer and other essentials. Is that the best route or the natural way is better???

My birds nest fern was beautiful when I brought her home, but has slowly been getting brown spots and tips. She’s mostly inside, but I do put her outside from time to time in a shaded spot that gets sunlight. Any ideas on what she needs?

What is happening? I came out to a similar situation a week ago. Planta told me to put it in brighter light. I stuck it right next to its partner and it perked up some. Came out this morning and it’s on the fritz again. No signs of bugs or anything. Water them at the same time. I’m new to plants, so I’m really clueless. Any ideas?

SOS! What’s wrong with my plant? I’ve followed all the care instructions and I can’t win. It’s sprouted two new leaves while looking like this. I am confused.

I’m so sad - one of my favorite plants has been acting up lately. Not sure what the problem is. I will consult Dr. Planta but I am not always sure I get accurate diagnoses that way. Are these spider mites (in addition to the white specks im seeing tiny dark bugs crawling around)? Is it too much sun? The leaves feel weak and more papery than some of the healthier ones. I think the dirt smells a little more mildewy than usual and is noticeable when i sit near the plant. Watering (distilled) as recommended and the plant is a decent length away from the sunny window. Any pointers?

Look what I found 🙃 Took over an hour to get all of the cotton spots off of my strawberry plant, hoping I caught it quick enough. I sprayed some insecticide last night & will check to see how everything is doing when I’m home from work. Is there anything else I should do to help? I noticed some spots on other plants as well and need to work on those tonight. Thanks in advanced đŸ„Č

So my Buddha’s Temple has some mealy bugs, no damage as I caught it early, but it’s proving hard to get rid of them due to all the nooks and crannies in the plant itself. Should I dunk it in alcohol solution and repot?

Lately my aloe has taken on a bit of a weird shape (leaves curving way down) and its leaves have gotten flat, especially toward the edges. In a couple places there are these really tough, round boluses in otherwise flat areas. The aloe has a baby that looks healthy though! It is about a metre (1.5?) from a huge south-facing window, but to keep it away from my cats it is positioned on a tall shelf (technically just above where the window is). Is it lack of sunlight? Overwatering? Underwatering? I just don’t want to take the wrong action and make the problem worse in the process. Thanks in advance!

Has anyone ever had a plant die or not so well when using cinnamon powder in plant soil? I sprinkled a bit on my plants soil but am now worried when watering her that it’ll do damage once it get down to the roots

Hey - is this Blueberry Rust? If so has anyone had any success treating it or is it too far gone? Ideally I’d like to avoid harsh chemicals.

My Vanilla plant is turning brown and shriveling up from overwatering, should i cut off the rotted brown parts and let it try to shoot off a new stem?

Hi everyone! Today I managed to rescue this Monstera from a friend, but am a little unsure on how to help her đŸ€” I think repotting is a definite must, but how can I help with the current leaves? Different websites say different things - some say overwatering and too much sunlight, whereas others say it could be a fungal infection? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Tomatillo stem was snapped over but not dislodged in anyway. Immediately tied it to a bamboo rod to hold it back up, what are the chances it recovers?
