Hey everyone! I need some help! This is one of my favorite plants since it was given to me by my late grandmother. So I really want to keep it alive and thriving. I noticed some discoloration and wasn’t sure what was going on. Overwatering? Underwatering? Scarring from a cold draft? Any info and insight I could get would be much appreciated! Thank you!

Tips, tricks, help for a somewhat fragile string of bananas that I just found spider mites on today. There were only 4 of the webs I found when I inspected the whole plant, and I removed those. But I have read too many remedies and I am not sure what to go with. So if anyone has something that has worked on a string of bananas before, that would share, I’d be super duper thankful!! The whole plant basically died like a month ago, and so I bought another one, then the dying one decided to come back to life. But it’s newly grown, so still a little fragile yet. In case that matters.

My friend has had this peace Lily for a couple months and it has been slowly dying. The roots look healthy and she doesn’t overwater the plant. It has drainage holes and is in part sun. It might need to be repotted. Any ideas?

I know she’s due for a water but can anyone tell me why she has a yellow leaf? Every watering cycle I’ve noticed a new yellow leaf. Is this normal for satin pothos/scindapsus pictus in the winter? I currently have her hanging in a southwest facing window. It doesn’t have a draft that I know of but she does feel cold to the touch. Thank you.

Any tips for String of Frogs? This is my second attempt with ‘em (which you can see on the right in the pot, I’ve since removed the corpse), and I’d love to not have another victim. Thanks!

I inherited this darling dracaena at the office! No one was taking care of it. I was shocked at how root bound it was, how much of the roots were just dried up and dead, and the pot had no drainage. Giving it a fresh start in new soil + drainage and hopefully start to see new growth soon!

Will these wooden skewers rot in the LECA? I’m assuming yes but this thing is so leggy I have no idea how else to support it

Hi! This is my first plant and recently I noticed some brown spots on the bottom of one of the leaves and a cut on one of them. Is this something I should be concerned about?

It’s not often that I get a plant delivered that is both too dry and with too wet soil. This round leaf Hoya Sigillatis (Borneo) came in with dry leaves and some leaves yellowing from root rot. The soil was wet on arrival. It started to grow fungus two days later or so I thought. Turns out the entire soil is filled with it. I usually wait to replace potting mix to lessen the stress on the plant. But, the ever increasing fungus gnats let me know that immediately throwing out this muddy soil is the best option. I’m enamored with my narrow leaf Hoya Sigillatis. It’s beautifully marked, full of new growth with no dry tips. It’s in a potting mix that works well. So, I got the round leaf as well. It’s just needs a little TLC once I change out the potting mix.

Hi guys does anyone know why my pothos has brown spots on the leaves? Is it a watering problem or is it getting too much sun? I have it hanging right by a window

Hi everyone! I just wanted to share a tip for fungus gnats. I used to have a bunch of sticky traps for gnats but I saw someone on instagram talking about these mosquito drops. You can get them on Amazon and you just put a few drops into your watering jug/can every time you water and it kills the larvae. I literally threw out all of my sticky traps because I don’t have gnats anymore! I would keep your sticky traps to catch any adult flies you currently have but after a few weeks of using these drops and eventually getting all of your plants watered with them, you shouldn’t have any more adults flying around. Also, the drops come in a little bottle inside the container pictured and they last me about a month. Just make sure to keep these drops stocked going fwd!
