I found some strange bugs crawling around my African violets soil. It was so small I could hardly tell what it was or get a picture of it (they were smaller than a flea). They looked kind of brown / white but I can’t for the life of me, figure out what they were. Anyone have any ideas on what it might be?

I have some hoya obsura plants that are all showing yellow spotted leaves that eventually fall off. I thought they were being overwatered. So, I increased the time between watering to let the soil mix dry out. The yellowing still persists. It has been over 2 months. I checked the soil today. It still looks fine with no root rot or insects. I’m assuming the chunky mix needs to completely dry out for these plants to be happy. I’m open to suggestions.

Believe it or not, this is a silver nerve plant! It all the sudden grew super tall upwards and is now really awkward. I heard about pruning it to make it more aesthetic - would that just mean cutting off the weird legs that it grew? Thanks for any advice :)

Hello, I just recently got these plants and they all seem to by turning yellow- except for my Haworthia, who is turning a purple-ish red. Thanks!

Please what is wrong with my calathea - the lower leaves started drooping as it got darker so I put her under a grow light and that seemed to stop it for a while, but now it’s started again. It’s only the lower droopy leaves that have brown/yellow sides. Thanks!

Hi! I have Pilea which I got from friend of mine, and the small one is not doing well. At first I realized that mold was present on surface, so i put stones at the bottom for more drainage. Still, since the weather and the room doesnt get much sun, soil don’t dry out for at least 5days. It’s been more than a month and half. It had only 3 leaves and now only one. The leaves turn to brown from center, then drop. I realized that the ā€œtrunkā€ of it turned into white. The bigger one in the same pot, however, is doing okay-ish and even started to produce a baby leaf. Should I remove the small one and deal with it separately? Is there any advice for my little poor PileašŸ™šŸ¼

Any suggestions on how to make my plant more bushy? Other photos I’ve seen of this baby have more leaves and sprouts from the root, but mine is acting more like a hanging pothos and only grows from the arms. If fertilizer is the answer, any advice on type?

I don’t know how to get rid of these pest that keep showing up on my dieffenbachia, so I’m open to suggestions. I have been cleaning the leaves weekly with neem oil. I made sure that when I saw the problem to repot it to get rid of the old soil and wash the plant and its roots. But the pest still keeps coming back

Hello I’m fairly new to being a plant mom. Over this past week my actual mom took care of my plants, and I came back home to my Monstera having a white superficial layer on the soil. Research says that this is a type of fungus. I removed an inch of the top layer of soil, and then sprinkle cinnamon to prevent the fungus from going back. However, it’s back. Please help me on how to treat this because it’s really stressing me out for the sake of my plants well be. 😩😭🫠

Why is this happening? This plant is kind of close to a vent so I was wondering if it’s too close to heat ?

This is my first encounter with black aphids. I think they are aphids. Whatever they are, they are annoying since they headed straight for the tender new growth on my Hoya Bella. I have sprayed soapy dishwater on them and the 10 plants close by with subsequent spraying to follow every week. Oh wellā€¦šŸŖ²

Hi! I gave my mini monstera new soil after a few years because there was mold growing on top of it, she used to be standing tall and thriving and now she’s droopy. No yellow leaves or anything like that. What could be wrong?

Ok so my mom has two very beautiful money trees, one is eleven years old and the other is only a year or two old. They thrive outside in the summer, get big and healthy branches and leaves and they look great. But when we bring them inside from the winter cold, they look so sad and they wilt and lose leaves and stems. My dad says that it’s because of the change of climate and we just keep them inside all year long. My mom disagrees because they are so happy outside. Any tips? Idk what we should do.

Does anyone know what this yellowing could be from? I have looked at my plants multiple times up close and can’t find any bugs at all. The soil was holding water so I repotted it not very long ago. The roots were healthy and I’ve been getting news leaves and had 2 flowers. I’m just not sure if it was from overwatering or could maybe be a nutrient deficiency or something else? I appreciate any help/advice!

My moms money tree keeps dropping these yellow leaves. No pest issues found. She’s never had a problem with over/underwatering it. Any ideas?
