I was repotting my alocasia Polly and noticed there’s a little hole within the root bulb, what should I do? Cut it? Hope it’ll repair itself?

So I have a braided money tree that’s big - like over a metre tall - and 3 out of its 5 trunks are dead… rotted (soft and squishy). I’m REALLY scared to remove them because this tree is bigger than any other plant I’ve worked with before. So my question to you: any tips???

So I have a small 2 leaf alocasia frydek and it is growing a new leaf. I watered it before vacation and I came home 7 days later to the new leaf opened up beautifully but one of the original was completely yellow and drooped over, the other original leaf is fine. Is the pot I put it in too big? It has good drainage but it is bigger

Just here to say that I had a very large infestation of Thrips (😱)! To start things off I doused in Captain Jacks. Secondly, Arber for the soil. Waited 2 weeks and put out 25 sachets of Cucumeris mites (for 80 plants). Lastly beneficial nematodes in the soil. I haven’t seen a single thrip in a month 🤞🥳

Hi guys! I am needing some advice when it comes to me Calathea medallion. I thought it did well in lowlight so I placed it in a dim area. However now a leaf is drooping. Is a drooping leaf normal for these little guys? Or should they be indirect bright light? Thank you for your help!

Anyone else have problems with coco coir? I have one fern in it that’s doing great, one that’s doing its best but needs help, a prayer plant that seems to be more sensitive to moisture levels than when he was in regular potting mix, and a gardenia that flat out doesn’t like it. Thoughts? 🤔

What should I do about this fungus-like stuff near my aloe Vera? It is on a shelf about 3 metres away from a window and it is a bit gross.

Hey guys so I bought this philodendron from Home Depot but it has these spots on it and some of the tips are almost like a brown yellow color I looked all over the plant for pests, but I didn’t see anything, so if anyone knows what’s wrong with this plant or if this is normal, please let me know

Can anyone help diagnose the issue here? It was perfectly healthy until about 1 month ago and suddenly the leaves began drooping and yellowing. I’m so bummed over it.

Hello! Does anyone know if this white colouring is normal on a Zebra Plant? The photo with the yellow spot is on a new leaf that’s still unfurling and the yellow is obviously not ideal. I know these plants can be picky so maybe it’s a sign of unhappiness, but I can’t see any signs of pests and it’s putting out its biggest growth at the moment! Thank you!

Please help this newbie save this poor salvaged palm!… & why does it smell like death when I misted it in the shower? It was abandoned near the dumpster, and after a few cold New England nights I was finally able to clear a cat-free place to bring it inside. I did a little research, then repotted & trimmed off the dead leaves.. but now so much of it is turning brown I feel terrible! I brought it to the tub to mist it - but then it gave off the worst scent I’ve ever smelled from a plant. I vented the bathroom overnight .. & doesn’t smell that terrible since it’s dried. I still have it in the tub to examine for root rot (possible cause of smell?) & am trying to find good info on how to treat whatever is wrong. I didn’t think I had overwatered it at all, but am concerned it’s either that, or the saved potting soil or pot I used had been already contaminated? Here are pics of the (Kentia?…Areca?) Palm since rescue. Thanks for all your help!

Experiencing root rot, any help? I thought I was watering only when about 90-95% dry. Not sure what I should do :(

Hello! Can someone please help me with my basil plant? When I bought it last month, the leaves were a little shriveled and it was already a pretty large plant. Since then I have researched it a bunch and trimmed it down and water it whenever the soil is completely dry. I also make sure to drain the pot to prevent root rot. I have it in front of a very large window, so it gets adequate sun all day. Please note that I do not open up this window so it doesn’t get exposed to the cold air. Ever since the cold weather has started, my basil plant has been drooping and looking awful. Any words of advice?

I had both these plants (Money tree and Fiddle leaf fig) for just a week after my old plants died. I have no clue what I’m doing wrong… I water them according to what the app says, and they get a lot of sun from my south facing window. Please advise 😔 They already seem to be shriveling up and looking weaker!

My dieffenbachia is dying and I have no clue why or not to stop it. It was looking pretty rough so I used the dr Planta and it said it was because of a lack of drainage. So I repotted it into a pot with drainage holes and cut off all the dead leaves. Now even more leaves have totally turned yellow or died. At this point it’s just a few pathetic looking stems. Anything I can do to revive it or is it a total lost cause? I’m really sad because this was my first ever house plant I ever bought myself and I’ve had it for around 3ish years.
