I finally managed to get my hands on a silver sword philodendron a few weeks ago and considering Iâve wanted one for the longest, I quickly fell in love with it. Shortly after bringing it home though, these weird spots began showing up on the leaves. Iâve been careful not to overwater it, kept it close to a west facing window and regularly treated the leaves with a spray. But yesterday, after losing multiple leaves, I made the difficult decision to remove any that looked diseased to stop any kind of spread.
This plant is one of my favorites, so I would hate to see it die. Everything Iâve read seems to indicate leaf spot disease, which Iâve never dealt with before, so any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Are these dark spots on my monstera something to worry about? Theyâre on the petiole of a newer leaf, worried it may be fungal but wasnât sure if it was just physical damage, wanted to make sure. (Also pls ignore the dust on this guy đ )

Rest in pieces, wobble cactus đ It was doing just fine and then today I found it droopy and shriveled. Does anyone know what mightâve gone wrong?
Hopefully I can propagate the remaining healthy bits.

And back again with more plant issues. My monsteraâs have mold that grows on the bottom and around some sides of the pot. This was never an issue until about a week and a half ago and I have no idea whatâs causing it! One is a terracotta pot the other is a stone? Or maybe clay pot? I bought both from Home Depot. Anyone know how to treat this problem & prevent it in the future?
At this rate Iâm feeling like the worst plant parent ever đ€Šđ»ââïž

does anyone else LOVE plants but HATE bugs? i am actually terrified of bugs, they make my ears ring. pests have been such a problem because of that. any advice?
Meg
This is one of our oldest plants, weâve had it for around 5 years. Does anyone know what these little holes are under the leaves? We donât want to lose it! Also any general advice is welcome. Itâs hard to see in this picture but there are aerial roots coming from the big bend in the plant on the right. I love my plants but Iâm not the best caretaker and I know I have plenty of room for improvement. I love that this forum is here and I look forward to making the most of it! đ

Please help! I got my first Peperomia a couple months ago and I cannot figure out what this plant needs. I was told itâs supposed to be fairly easy to take care of but no matter what Iâve tried it just keeps getting worse. I read online that itâs a sort of tropical plant so I tried putting it in my greenhouse cabinet to increase its humidity, it didnât seem to like that so I tried putting it with my regular plants and that hasnât helped either. Iâve tried putting it closer to a light source, noticed that a lot of the leaves were turning brown around the edges and thought they might be getting burn spots so then I tried putting it farther away from the light. I do not think it is overwatered, I check to make sure the top 1-2 inches of soil is dry before I water it. I also donât think itâs under watered because Iâve been following the watering schedule and have also been watching it and water it early if I notice itâs looking particularly dry. The pot also has a drainage hole and thereâs a layer of gravel at the bottom of the pot to give the roots extra room and oxygen. No matter what I do itâs continued to droop and the leaves turn brown. What am I doing wrong?

This is my grandmotherâs peace lily. Iâm not there, so I canât inspect in person, and I donât have any peace lilies, so I donât really know them that well anyway. Sheâs had this for decades, but just repotted it last summer. Ever since, it has not been doing well. Any suggestions?

Alocasia Leafs drooping and then yellowing one by one. Iâve already cut two off so far that were almost completely yellow.

Iâm so sick of her. My first though was pests, but thereâs nothing moving.
Have I watered her correctly? Nah. Does she get the right amount of light? Probably not. BUT DAMN. So fussy. How do people get these to thrive? Is it even possible?
Elin
I have released this years first batch of predatory mites, on all my plants, to battle thrips. Iâm a huge fan of Bio-control and have used it both professionally and on my private plant collection. đ
Have you tried any predatory insects or mites to deal with plant pests?

Hi Planta Community! I bought this plant a few months ago, and repotted it in a mix of potting soil, bark and perlite. It seem to be doing fine, but yesterday I found it had fallen over and the root system did not seem to have grown so much. Should I do something differently?

Friendly reminder: Donât forget to check up on your Dormant plants! đ An aphid invasion on my Canna plant that is currently stored in a cool and dark place. A bit of soap and wipe and they were eradicated. đȘČ
