Help! I just got this lil baby monstera and she is struggling. She arrived with a cold heat pack and miraculously survived the shock of a cross country move. 5-6 weeks later, I’m thinking that maybe I’m giving her a little too much humidity and wasn’t feeding her enough silica and fertilizer? (I literally just started yesterday) The roots are also beginning to circle the bottom but haven’t quite made a full lap. Should I repot? Or give her some time to nom on that last feed?

What in the world are these scales on my Ginseng Ficus? They don’t look like any type of scale I’ve ever seen!! I had to use a knife to scrape them off.

How to work out what is causing my monstera’s new leaves to come out with brown spots? I looked online and got a range of answers including over or under watering, too little or too much light and pests. There are no signs of any pests so I think I can rule that out. The advice out there is so contradictory!

Happy 2025 💗 Are these mealies on my hoya pubicalyx 🥲 ? I've never had them before, so its hard for me to tell. They are only on the tips of new growth as far as I can see ☹️ If they are, please give me advice on how to handle/treat this particular plant. Thank you so much

Hi, I recently noticed a lot of my foliage plants having discolouration on the leaves. I water them using rainwater from a water butt, could it be that it’s contaminated? Is there any way to save them?

So I bought a Christmas rose again this year. This is attempt number two with the hellebore plant and I haven’t had a ton of luck (but the first one was very early in my plant journey). I am posting because it has some cut stems at the top of the plant or “crown” that have been kind of rotting out. The reason for the cut stems is an aphid infestation. That was a fun discovery upon bringing this plant home. I guess I love me a project. To note I am checking with a soil moisture meter that it is dry before watering and this time I took away some of the soil at the top as well as switched to bottom watering. Should I spray the crown with anything for the mould (like hydrogen peroxide?)

I’ve been having issues with bugs in my plants but I think this may be some sort of soil fungus. The mushroom looking piece has disappeared but there are white spores like this all around my soil. Does anyone know what this is and how to stop or prevent it??

Hello, my Dracaena fragrans has been challenging from day one. I’ve had it for about two+ years. So I could start with repotting. But it’s never been stable. See photo where I’ve had to keep them roped together and staked, and I even kept tape at the base as well. They’re a cluster of 4. Things worth noting, the pot is 15.5” in diameter/19” tall hard plastic pot). I have it sitting 1’ away from a NW facing window and it’s also kitty corner to a north facing. I should add that I have not been great at watering it over the last couple years. I will sometimes go up to a month without watering, but I was consistent for the first year and it still had the stability issues. I plan on being better about watering. -when I repot it, can I keep it in the same pot or should a cluster of 4 have a wider diameter pot? From what I’ve read, the diameter and height is sufficient, but perhaps that information is for one and not a cluster? Any special tips on your favorite soil to purchase? Should I move it from a NW to a NE facing window? Any other tips? -my ponytail palm in the last photo has sadly been in front of a N facing window. This one was replanted about 6 months ago. I’ll take any tips for this guy. I could move this in front of a south facing window once a week for a half a day? -i’m aware that the window directions are not ideal, but unfortunately, but this is where they have to be. I did put a sun lamp in the ceiling that’s about 4 feet away from the corn plant and the ponytail palm. I figured why not even if it’s too far away. The window positions in this room are NW,N&NE.
