I don't know what to do. I came home from work to find my beloved Groot like this. He's kept on our dining room table and gets sun, but it feels like this happened overnight??? There hasn't been any changes in environment aside from weather - I live in wisconsin and we just had our first snowfall, and the temperatures outside have dropped drastically - but the inside temp has stayed the same. I have kept up with water changes and I don't know what else to do... I can't find fertilizer which doesn't make me gag and almost vomit from smell alone... is he gone???
Okay, so my money tree is quite the spectacle at this point. The trunks are still the size of a small baby money tree—cute, tiny, and beginner-level trunks. However, the leaves are growing all the way up to 5 feet, as if she’s reaching for the heavens 😭💀 She resembles a tiny tree adorned in a gigantic leafy gown. The proportions are completely off. And here’s the drama: I keep telling my mom that she needs much more light, but she absolutely refuses to move her 😩 Meanwhile, the poor thing is stretching so hard that she’s practically doing yoga to reach the window 😂 Can someone PLEASE advise me on what to do before this tree becomes a floppy, top-heavy mess? Any money tree experts, please help a girl out 🙏🌿💸
What can I do to save her??? I think those are pests in the second pic but can’t tell, plz help.
Please help 🥺 my peace lily has been struggling and I don’t know what else to do. The soil dries out very fast, and leaves are yellow and browning. Now I just checked and the new healthier leaves have this brown speckling? It’s further away from the windows and getting indirect bright light, my room is southeast and west facing. The leaves are dying very quickly. I don’t see any pests and I’ve used neem oil just in case there are some in the soil. What else do I need to do? Should I repot?
Is it over for my alocasia polly?😔 I repotted her maybe about a month ago due to being somewhat root bound. Since then, recently two of the smaller laves yellowed and died off but I did not think much of it as alocasia tend to do that when they are focusing on root growth or want to push out new leaves (from what i’ve read). I usually spray the leaves of most of my plants with a mix of water, neem oil, peppermint castile soap and a tiny bit of isopropyl alcohol every few weeks to help with pests and shine. I haven’t done this in about two weeks because I was sick. I noticed the leaves looking like this over the last few days and now I’m worried it’s possibly pests. The specs on the pictures is most dust but there are some black specs on the back of the leaves that I do not recognize 😔 I’d really appreciate any insight or if you’ve experienced this with any of your plants before!
Does this look like a sunlight burn?
Gnats are ruining my life. How do I get them out of the soil without repotting.
What’s going on with my basil plant? Is it root rot? The roots don’t smell though.. what can I do? The leaves have been yellowing and drooping for weeks seemingly regardless of watering
Does anyone with a water softener struggle with their plants? Or is it just me...
My plant is growing mold!! What can I do to fix it?? I put cinnamon on it, what else can I do? It’s a chocolate queen plant.
Hi Everyone....newer plant dad here. I have had this Peace Lily since July 2025. It has been doing fairly well and still producing blooms. I repotted a few days ago after it was definitely needed and have been keeping an eye on it. It does respond to watering and I have been fairly consistent on that process, as well as taking care of it. I have always been concerned about the way the leaves are....almost folded in half on some of them. This has been going on since I had the plant. I thought it may be the light???? I think it gets enough light from my east facing window, even on the cloudiest days (today is a cloudy day). This plant is placed about 3 feet away from the window. I'm always worried about getting too close to the window as the Sunlight does come in it at different times of the year. I have had a couple of different plants get scorched tips in the past. I am open to any helpful tips at all to keep this plant healthy.
Put this ponytail palm in a super low light corner and it hated it. Almost all the strands are turning brown. Any ideas for how to rehab it and get the leaves looking nice again once I put it in a lighter corner?
I’m having a bit of a fungus gnat situation in my room, and I’ve got about 20 plants, like cacti and African violets. I was wondering if anyone could share their tips on using neem oil or other chemicals to get rid of them? I’ve heard there’s a larvicide you can use to water the plants. I’m really trying to get rid of them, but unfortunately, they’ve always been a problem with my peace lily 😭
Hello!! I’m struggling with my manjula pothos where there is brown spots all over the leaves to a new discoloration on the leaves with yellow spots. I don’t know what to do exactly for there is so much going on and I want to save my plant:( I am not sure if there is a bacterial or fungus infection in the soil that is causing the yellowing or if I’m under watering to cause the brown spots… I’m at a loss. Here are some photos for reference!
Hey guys I’m in a predicament here. Should I cut her back on the hanging stems and prop? Or what’s the best way for it to climb? Give me ideas please It has great growth at the top that’s climbing but the bottom hanging stems are just giving runners and no fenestrations
Hello, I got two hibiscus last year around the same time (maybe a month or two apart) this summer. They seemed to be doing well (lots of new leaves and nice glossy leaves) but now that the seasons are changing I’ve noticed they aren’t as happy. They are near a vent but in the summer when cool air would have been blowing on them they were okay so I figured warm air would be too. My bigger one has been getting yellow leaves left and right and is super droopy and sad, the smaller one isn’t as bad but is still not at its peak (the smaller one is closer to the vent and only a little higher, although as far as I can tell they are both getting the same amount of sun) Ive never gotten flowers from either but I figured that was just because they are inside and my room is pretty cold, however now that it’s warming up they seem to be doing worse. The picture is of the worse of the two but my camera can’t seem to pick up it’s droopiness I guess lol
Does anybody know how to heal plants up that are half frozen? How should I nurse my avocados back to health?
Planta says this is mealy bugs but I also learned it could be mineral deposits. She was under watered for a while. What do you all think? Thanks!
I think the roots are rotting. I gave it too much water without knowing I wasn’t suppose to, and there’s a lot of little fruit fly looking bugs around it. The leaves have been falling and it was drooping. My mom kinda buried it in the soil so it wouldn’t droop anymore. Can I fix it? What should I do?
