Hey all, noticed a few people are struggling with propagating monstera cuttings and such in water, due to root rot and just rot in general. Generally when you receive a cutting/make one you want to leave the area to callous over which helps prevent that area from rotting, you can also dip the end in wax to help seal it, both perfectly good options. You will need to change the water regularly but don’t tip out all the water, only tip out around half and then fill it back up with fresh water to increase the oxygen levels, whilst also preserving the rooting hormones your plant releases to help root itself

I can’t figure out what’s wrong with my Aglaonema. I pruned some leaves off already that were yellowing/browning and had a few brown spots. Now there are more like this. Any idea what it could be? I thought maybe it was a lighting issue at first (that I had it too close to a window) so I moved a little farther away and it’s still happening. I don’t believe I’m overwatering as I wait for it dry out a little (not completely) before watering. I believe they don’t like to go fully dry in between watering.
I found the scars and hole on a leaves of pothos and birds of paradise in few days time. I don’t know why it’s happening and if it’s fine to leave it…
collected this for 60p but no label - what is it and do i have any chance of reviving it😭
Hi guys, my peace Lily has been doing so well! But recently I’ve noticed she’s really droopy and the stems are quite floppy. I watered her yesterday with non chlorinated water through the top and let the water drain out the bottom (I heard somewhere every now and then you need to do this to help wash out unwanted minerals and stuff) but most of the time I water her through the feet and then let her drain and put her back into the pot. I do this whenever she looks droopy and I put my finger into the soil down deep to check it it’s dry. Any tips would be appreciated!
Hi all! My dieffenbachia has been struggling since I brought it home and about a month ago I realized it had root rot. I sprayed the roots with hydrogen peroxide, trimmed infected roots, and replanted in a new pot with well draining soil. Fast forward to today and it is still struggling so I checked the root system and while some new healthy roots have formed, some are still rotting. I just gave it a good wash, root trim, and sprayed with peroxide. It basically lost most of its root system at this point, so would it be appropriate to put it in a glass and try to get some new roots to prop before replanting? I haven’t been overwatering it and check the soil with a chop stick to ensure I avoid that. Either way I’m at a last ditch effort but it has a few growth points so I don’t want to give up on it 😭
Brown leaves :( what’s going on? Should I move it out of the nursing pot into a real pot?
My Gloriosum isn’t doing so well, it’s still growing had one leaf unfurl a week ago, but the leaves aren’t looking so hot, any advice , whats going on??
Any recommendations on getting rid of fungus gnats?
I cannot for the life of me figure out how to stop the leaves from browning? The soil feels dry about two inches deep so sometimes I water it early but I feel like it’s still slowly dying for me over time. Any thoughts?
Any idea what this white stuff could be / how to fix it😭
I have been battling mealybugs on my plants for a while. I eventually gave up and used systemic pesticide for them. I used the granules. Maybe I over treated them, I’m not too sure but now I noticed my plants are having some issues on the edges and looking very dull. Does the attach look like the bugs haven’t gone away or is this a result of them being unhealthy due to the treatment? I also have not watered since the treatment due to the soil being moist. They are just starting to dry out. The last watering was with the granular treatment.
I’m a beginner and I’m trying to grow tomato plants. All of my leaves started getting little white edges on them. They’re only a month old and I’m scared they’re already all dying. What’s happening?! They’re just babies!!! Is it because they’re too close together? Their roots aren’t even touching. I’m going to move them farther apart once it gets a little warmer and I can move them outside.
I don’t know what’s happening to my succulent! He seemed healthy 2 weeks ago. I’m having a hard time telling if I’m over or under watering? The leaves are very thin and soft.
There’s little white bugs on my monstra there making the leaves turn brown and yellowish how do I get rid of them
What is happening to my plant?! Some leaves are shriveled and drying while others are turning yellow 😵💫 help!
So I’ve had this guy for a while now (I got her like this) and I haven’t seen any improvement or any deterioration. Any ideas for what might be the cause for her stunted growth and curled leaves? She’s getting an in between of bright indirect light and shade, and I’ve been watering her when only thre very bottom inch or so of the soil is still moist. Ps. The leaves are very hard, I know baby rubber plants do have more rigid leaves but this seems like more.
Ayyyy! Anyone got tips for Thornthrob? She’s a Tom Thumb and I accidentally ripped out one of the lil ferns out of the multi purpose dirt, roots and all. It was sad but I still have the rest :3
My sister owns this plant and the leaves keep dying and falling off. She’s a new plant mum and I want to help her but I can’t tell what the problem is! Thanks if you reply ❤️
Hello, I’m a new plant parent so im not really sure whats wrong. My baby aloe vera is so small and thin and the tips are starting to brown. Is it overwatering? is it underwatering? something else? She sprouted from an adult aloe plant that is happy and healthy so did i just replant her wrong?
