My worst nightmare has arrived. I have found mealybugs on my bird of paradise. I only found 2 very very small ones. One may have hitched a ride on me the other day. I went to my local nursery and there was section in the way waaayyyy back that had bird of paradises. And they were ALL infested with mealy bugs. I fear thatâs how I may have gotten them. I also check my other plants and none of them seem to have any. I did spray the whole plant with perfect plantista houseplant pest spray. How often should I be doing this if Iâve only found a few?

Why are my peace lillies so sad?? I feel like theyâre always droopy and sad. They perk up whenever I water them but start to develop yellow/brown leaves as if theyâre being overwatered. Iâve tried a variety of spots in my shop for different light levels. What do I do???
my lamp burnt my monsteraâčïž its moved now ofc but she was leaning on it...
Does anyone know what would cause these issues on a monstera? I repotted her 3 weeks ago and have been watering weekly.
So, I just got this plant on clearance and Iâm sure you can tell why. All of its roots were practically dead and the few that it has, had some rot on them so I had to cut them too. How high is its chances of living? Also, Do I need to cut anything else away or is this okay? What are next steps? TIA!
Hello! I have a meyer lemon tree that I have had for about one year. It has grown a lot but I think I need to prune it for fruit and flower production. Iâll attach some pictures, please let me know if you have any pruning advice!!!âșïžđ

One of the leaves on my Prince of Orange has these little holes in it. Does anyone know what could be causing this?
Can someone give me some guidance with my Diffenbachia? I got it last summer at the farmers market and itâs slowly just looked sadder and sadder. Iâve tried different lighting (itâs in my big bay window in this picture to get good lighting, but otherwise is placed in my living room where it gets some sun but not direct). How do I bring her back to life? Do I need to repot and check for root rot? What does root rot look like in Diffenbachia? Any and all advice is appreciated!
Oh my God, okay so I watered my flatmates plant just now because oh my God, well overdue I noticed these little hands that look like cactus anyone seen this before? Anyone know what these are?
What the heck could possibly do this? A pest? Iâm thinking my cat đ, but itâs also in a very odd spot
Hi friends. My roommate has a large collection of plants, some of which have spilled over to the living room. Iâve started helping him take care of them since heâs a little overwhelmed and forgetful with watering. I just found a horrible spider mite and scale infestation and evidence of mealies on his plants. Iâm gonna treat them right now but am wondering if yâall have ever had a situation like this and how to go about making someone take care of a pest problem. Iâm just worried theyâre gonna somehow get in my room and affect my collection. Thanks for any advice
Update on EllieâŠ. Idk what to do for her. This is the fourth leaf that has turned yellow and now the fifth leaf is turning. I took her out of her pot and her soil was wet so I put her into a dry soil and a new pot, but sheâs still losing leaves. Is there something Iâm doing wrong or is this normal with plants that have been overwatered? TIA!
help! what is wrong with my roommates money plant? what can we do?
Hi guys I just got a Monstera and it was doing great but recently noticed this part on a newer leaf. Almost looks burnt, but itâs been growing in surface area on the leaf and part of the stem. Last pic is what it looked like on Saturday. Other pics are from today. Rest of the plant looks very healthy!! Soil is dry at the top currently but still a little moist about an inch down. It sits in front of my patio door and gets a lot of indirect sunlight with about an hour of direct sunlight later in the day. Iâve been misting as the app advises. The plant as a whole looks healthy except for this one section and Iâm scared of how fast itâs spreading đ© is there something I can try? Should I try to remove the affected stem before it spreads?? Any advice would be appreciated!! đ„Č SOS
I'm a little concerned about my pothos. It seems to have got very droopy. But on the other hand it is growing a new leaf so it can't be too unhappy?
So this plant was very dry so I was giving it a thorough soak in some water for a few minutes when SO MANY long white tiny bugs were swimming around in the waterđđ the health of this plant hasnât been great for a long time, but I donât see any signs of pests on the leaves. Please tell me this is what fungus gnat larvae look like and these arenât thrips. Also in Canada we donât have access to systemic granules. Not opposed to chucking the plant to save my collection Ps this same plant had mealy bugs not that long ago.
Iâve taken over this rubber plant and had it for the past year. The first ten months with us it was in our conservatory where it was absolutely fine, producing new leaves. I then noticed all the leaves down one side are really brown (the side facing the sun, possibly scorched? Although itâs been in direct sun before). Iâm watering it as per this appâs instructions as I know it doesnât take much water. Is there any saving it? The leaves on the other side and at the top are fine but one side looking very sad. Have moved it out of the conservatory for the time being.
Which pests are these on the undersides of the leaves?
Any idea what this white stringy stuff could be on my rubber tree plant? Mealybugs?
