Best way to get rid of GNATS?
This is my daughter’s fern, and some of the leaves are turning yellow, and some of them are totally brown and crispy. Maybe it’s too dry? TXS.💚🪴
Hi all! I’ve noticed that in the past few months many of the new and old leaves on my scindapsus have been browning at the tips and developed a splotchy yellow color. Even with adding a humidifier, repotting it, and maintaining a consistent watering schedule, the leaves continue to worsen. I’m beginning to think this is some sort of bacterial infection. Has anyone seen this before on their plant, know what this is, or can give advice to solve it? Thanks so much🙏
I have a Calathea Dottie. I got her a couple of weeks ago from a local plant store. She was doing okay but she is getting worse every day I have tried everything on planta. I have repotted, added sun, took sun away, watered more, watered less, added fertilizer. I thought I saw some bugs, but I am not for sure. Any suggestions would be extremely appreciated! The first picture is current the second one was the first signs of distress I saw.
i don’t know if this is actually a problem or if i’m overreacting, but over the past couple weeks my mini desert rose has been having more shriveled branches. she seems okay and i haven’t changed anything, but it has been getting hotter here in TX and she sits right on the windowsill. curious if anyone has had a similar experience? TIA !
What is eating the leaves? And what do I do for it? I’m new to plants and gardening, appreciate any help!
I’m trying to save this jade I got from my office, and the leaves started to turn red? I’m thinking it might be because it’s in too direct of sunlight, but any other feedback or ideas would be much appreciated.
I have sentipeeds in my alocasia and my bead of purls is that something to be worried about that are kinda white ish
Okay so first, my peace lily’s blooms are finally opening up!! Yayayay! But the rest of her is struggling. She has brown spots on the tips of her leaves, yellow leaves, and other patches of brown: I’ll leave a picture down below. Please help me save her, I don’t know what is wrong.
Oh no!!! I just saw spider webs on my indoor hydrangea. She’s been THOUGHLY sprayed with insect acide and is now been moved outside. BUT she was about 2-3 feet from a grouping of other plants. How likely is it that my other plants will be infected do you think? There’s some basil and mint there as well as 2 orchids, my brand new baby string of turtles, tradescantia nanouck and a pepperomia and polka dot plant. I JUST let the nanouck and turtles out of quartaine last night too!!! Please help!!!
Evening, my Dionaea muscipula (Venus fly trap) has white bits in the soil that seems to be mould. I’ve only recently bought it and when I bought it, I was charged very little as it was severely dehydrated in the garden centre. I was planning on repotting soon but hoping to revive it a bit more so it’s stronger for the transfer. The pot it came in has drainage holes with the roots poking out the holes into another pot. I’ve read before that this is for putting water in the outer pot for the roots to drink from rather than the soil so this is what I’ve done over the last week or two. Is this correct? Should I repot now and change soil? Is there any way to treat the mould? Thank you!
I’ve had this turtle vine for a month maybe two. I water her every 4 or so days and use Planta to inform me when to as well. I found it looking like this I believe it’s flourished with new growth but I’m wondering will this dead look ever go away? I’m not sure what to do with it
Hi! I’ve had my golden pothos plant, Athena, for a month or two now. When I bought her she had a small brown dot on one of her leaves and since then it’s been growing… anyone know what this may be and how to stop it?
Hi! My peace lily is struggling with brown tips and yellow green leaves. How do I save her?
Hey. Urgent help please!!! Me and my eves needle cactus have been together since I was born lol. And I’m really worried about her. She’s in full sun, in my window and I never over/under water (from what I believe anyway). She is very old and sat happily in my nanas conservatory until I moved her in with me in my new house. Well she didn’t like the move and is not looking too happy with me. Ever since I remember she’s had a little brown patch on top of her and now it’s just getting bigger. PLEASE- if there’s anything you think it could be. She’s also dropping her needles. Thank you!!
Hmmm noticing gnats in the soil of some of my pots. Will a spray of soap and water do?

This is my nanouk plant and I read that downward curled leaves mean overwatering, so I’m remedying that by skipping the next few watering prompts. What I wanted to ask everyone is do the leaves ever uncurl? Or is the change permanent. Google isn’t being very cooperative on finding that out😅 if anyone has any experience with this I’m eager to get my plant happy again.
What are these and why are they killing my plants??? Not so obvious here but a couple of my other guys are completely decimated.
I repotted my Alocasia Azlanii this morning in order to get it into a chunky mix. When I pulled it out of the pot there were 2 groupings of these white growths. Normally, when I see formations like this, they’re insect eggs. Does anyone know what these are? Eggs? Mold or some other fungus? Tiny Tic Tacs made by tiny soil elves?
