anybody have any ideas? this guy is so fussy I’ve adjusted how often I water and no matter what I do I keep losing leaves 🥲 he was in a window but I’ve just moved him to be closer to a grow light to see if that’ll help
I’ve had this dracaena for about two weeks. It has three planted together. The smallest one is dropping all of its leaves. The other two seem fine and have not dropped any leaves. I am being mindful to not over or under water. Right now the top inch is dry and I feel damp soil below that. Plenty of drainage. I know sometimes these things just happen but any thoughts?
I was gifted a lime tree before Christmas and it has brought a few varieties of pests home with it. So far I’ve had to deal with spider mites and pretty bad scale infestation. Yesterday I spent a while scraping the scale off while rinsing it in the shower to deal with the spider mites. Today, with the soil still very wet from the shower, I noticed the soil is full of centipedes. I’ve read mixed things online, do I want to keep or get rid of the centipedes? Are they good for killing scale and fungas gnats? They gross me out but they can stay if they’re serving a purpose…
What’s wrong with my baby dracaena? I just got it about a week ago and now it’s all droopy. I watered it yesterday with tap water, but my cat has also been chewing on the leaves so that might have something to do with it.i just moved it to this spot yesterday, but it’s still droopy. Please help!
Does anyone know what's wrong with this leaf?
I got this staghorn/elkhorn fern a couple of weeks ago. It had a little brown spot when I bought it, but it’s spread really quickly. I’m having trouble identifying what the problem is, as google searching has just said it could be due to under watering/overwatering or freezing temps. It’s located in our bathroom near the window so it gets a lot of humidity and some indirect light, but it has been really cold here in Portland. Could that be the cause? Is it beyond saving? Any insight or advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Sorry no pictures because I hate them but I’ve got spider mites that just don’t seem to go away. I water whenever dirt is dry. But every time I finally get things growing (like beans or peppers) indoors I get spider mites! I’ve done nematodes, rubbing alcohol and water. I have fans on them all the time, I wipe off the leaves once in a while but maybe not enough?? It’s so discouraging this happens too often but now they’re on my aloe. They leave my rosemary alone. Maybe I can just mist with rosemary water and rubbing alcohol?
Not sure what’s happening to my pilea :(
Not sure what the white specs are in my hoya soil? Any ideas? I'm guessing repot it?
On today’s episode of white powder that I am genuinely scared about: What is that white powder on the tips of my zz plant shoots and should I be scared of them🌚
I forgot the name of the plant but it was doing good then I noticed it was drooping to the side. What should I do?
Help! My peace lily was doing great until one day it started drooping so i cleaned it, misted it, changed its water and added a bit of fertilizer. Now it just looks worse, i also gave it a little more sunlight but it's doing terrible, any tips? Should i pot it? Am i giving it ooo much sunlight now?
hi! i bought some fish fertilizer and mixed it with water for some of my plants that are struggling. how long does it take to start to see a difference? do i need to water them multiple times with this stuff? thanks!
I bought this banana plant just under a year ago and it was looking overall okay, some damage to the leaves from the shop, but had 3 health ones - I have repotted it once into this larger pot about 6 months ago & water it once a week- but it’s started to get a lot of browning, and crispy/split edges - it could be because of the cold temperature in my room (and it will be moving into a much warmer apartment with full glass windows all around) but is there I can do to help it for now/is there anything other than the temperature causing this?😢
My Philodendron White Wizard is browning a bit on the tips. Is this due to too much sun or not enough? It also by a window that opens a lot so it gets a lot of cold air bursts
I saved my old monstera from a snowstorm only to see its leaves chewed through by critters, probably a raccoon or squirrels!😩😭 It will grow new leaves because the roots are intact.
My calathea has been doing really well until its newest growth started to brown. What could be going on??? I am not overwatering but also not letting it dry completely. It has bright filtered light and a pebble try for humidity. 😵💫 (The brown tips on larger leaves were from before I bought it and I haven’t noticed them get any worse)
I have been having a hard time getting plants to survive - much less thrive - in this area in the macrame hanging basket. There are other similar plants (care and light levels needed) on the same bookshelf that do fine. I am wondering if being placed in the hanging basket could be stressing the plants out??? Maybe putting strain on the roots? It sounds crazy to me but I can’t think of anything else. This plant was at the top of the bookshelf until recently. I moved it down when I moved a peace lily from the basket that also wasn’t doing well. And bam - leaves turned yellow real quick. I’ve trimmed two vines already hoping to save pieces of the plant. I put a plate under the plant tonight hoping a little more stability will help. Any other ideas? I really like the idea of filling this space with a big plant…but I also like my plants to stay alive..
There seem to be these boils almost on my peperomia and I can’t tell if they are a disease or just normal for this plant. I’m so curious and I haven’t seen anything like this before. Thanks🤍🪴
