Hi, I have a String Of Hearts and recently it has been tiring from a bright green to more of a dull green with purple aswell. I know bright light can affect the leaves and they turn purple but I'm unsure if it is that. I also have been using Keiki paste on the nodes and I'm unsure whether that has affected it. Can anyone help?? Thank you!

I was wondering if anyone has experience with marks like these on their croton plants, I’m hoping it’s not leaf spot disease I read about but any input and advice is welcome.

I saw this orange and white stuff growing on the side of my prickly pear cactus but I’m not sure what to do. I reported it last week and the roots looks great so I’m not sure what the issue is.

Snake Plant advice? We’ve had this snake plant for a while and we’ve noticed the leaves start to droop as well as a new pup sprouting next to it. The sagging leaves feel pretty soggy. we water it sparingly and it lives next to the bright balcony door.

I’ve noticed recently that a lot of people are posting about overwatered plants. Something that I’ve learned from my thorough research and experience is that most plants prefer to dry out between waterings. A great way to check if a plant needs to be watered is to insert a wooden skewer or chopstick, leave it in for a minute, and if it comes out dry with no dirt on it, it’s time to water. And remember that Planta’s schedule is never going to be completely accurate! ALWAYS check before watering your plant! Here is a list of plants that like to dry out between waterings: Succulents, cacti, moth orchids, peperomia, tradescantia, monsteras, pothos, philodendrons, spider plants, syngoniums, dracaena, corn plants, money tree, ZZ plants, aglaonema (Chinese evergreen), cast iron plant, Chinese money plant, umbrella plant, bromeliads, hoya. Plants that don’t like to dry out between waterings: nerve plants, begonias, polka dot plants, ferns, prayer plants, rubber plants, birds of paradise, carnivorous plants (which require a whole different care system than most plants), alocasias, peace lilies, dieffenbachia. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

What’s going on with my Golden pothos? Please help! For some context, I’ve had this plant for more than 3 years now and it’s indoors in an 8.5’ plastic pot with drainage. It had a thrips attack in the first year but recovered after a long battle. Recently, I’ve been noticing brown spots (as in the pictures) on mostly older leaves and got rid of them, as I was worried it would spread to the newer leaves. I’ve been watering it regularly when the top layer is dry and use osmocote every 6 months. I’ve about 17 plants in total and see no pest activity on pothos (or others), except for these spots. Have a humidifier running for added humidity. Any ideas on what this is?

What should I do with these leaves?? She came with some rips and dark spots, more than likely shipping damage from Lowe’s. Will it heal or do I need to cut off the entire leaf? There are 3 new leaves forming so I know the plant is doing well enough to grow but there also has been a gnat issue that I’ve posted about previously. The bug situation is improving and I have the sticky traps and dead bug brew otw. I’m wondering if I just need to cut the bottom leaves to reduce the humidity directly over the soil to help with the bugs and because I feel like they just aren’t going to heal - especially the ripped one. Thank you in advance for the advice, I’m a repeat offender when it comes to adding to the graveyard 🫠 *just misted and cleaned leaves

I recently got an orbifolia and the new leaves have started turning brown before they even fully come out. All of its current leaves also have brown edges. Any tips on how to fix this?

Hey there guys… if you have seen my last two posts, you know my poinsettia is not doing the best: UPDATE: today I found this white stuff in her soil, and two other leaves fell. Does this clarify more what is wrong with her? Any help would be much appreciated.

Does anyone know what’s wrong with my rubber plant? It just keeps declining. Is it too much sun? The soil is less than damp i don’t water it until the soil is dry.

Can someone help me with my pineapple! It’s been drooping ever more since January. I repotted it a couple weeks ago and found some root rot. I cut it off and put it into a nursery pot with better drainage and cactus soil. I also moved it to a window with direct light. To note it also has 3 shoots starting to come out from the bottom. Is it just time to start promoting their growth and let the big one die?

Hopefully someone can help out on this one.. My palm isn’t doing good at all. Little story.. A few weeks ago I decided to move her outside as I thought she would do better out there. I decided to move her back in and repotted her. Every since then she just has been so sick (expected due to the amount of changes) My first plant and it hasn’t been easy. Any thoughts on how to prevent the yellowing? I also notice some fonds are a change in texture very brittle. (I notice her soil is getting more dry quicker than usual) as well.

I have checked for spider mites, don’t have this plant in direct sun but enough I feel it needs, and don’t feel like im overwatering it… so what do you think is the issue with this leaf? I’m so sad and feel so lost because I can’t figure it out. It’s even more yellow today, it continues to spread. 😩
