A little less than a year ago I snipped off the top of my Ficus Audrey to promote branching and I now have two new branches with lots of very healthy leaves! However
I am noticing that the branches are very thin near where I initially cut from. I am worries that with all the new growth the stems will not be able to support the weight of new leaves. I have a wooden dowel to support the trunk but I am still worried. Any ideas on how to bulk up branch thickness? Should I hang tight and see what happens or just chop it off again and hope it grows back stronger next time?

I’m looking for some advice for my Ring of Fire. To preface this plant has been repotted, fertilizer, grow light, window, and scoured/treated for any pests over the last year i’ve had it. I bought it with more leaves and i actually trimmed off some older leaves to even out the root to leaf ratio. i’ve had no growth at all. i don’t know what the thing in the middle is because it’s not a leaf. it won’t grow and it doesn’t shed any old material. it used to be more red but it’s slowly been fading. i added a humidifier right next to it to help loosen just in case it is a leaf but nothing. i don’t want to get rid of it but i also don’t know what else to do. Thank you for reading đŸ«¶đŸŒđŸ©· *this picture is from about a week ago but of course, no change*

I have been loving my pilea mollis plant. It was in a spot that I think was semi stunting its growth. It would receive light from an east facing window, but it was placed below the window so it didn’t get a ton of light and was fairly shaded. So I’m moving it to a hanging rod in north facing window that gets direct sunlight from an east facing window next to it. All this to say, I was examining this plant (which was originally a rescue so it came with some damage) and I noticed these little white spots. They are tiny and only in this spot but look like maybe white mold? Given that it had low sunshine and was consistently moist from not having direct light to grow, I figured that would be the case. But I’m wondering if anyone has any better ideas, tips, or tricks? No other plants nearby have any sort of bugs, so I would be shocked if that is the case for this.

I bought this polkadot begonia about 3 weeks ago and I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong her leaves are crispy and and keep chipping off, I haven’t repotted her I thought maybe she was getting too much sun and getting sun burnt so I took her away from the window, she’s not under watered. I’m not sure how to make her happy. Any tips? or have similar experiences?

🩟🐛What’s an effective spray to get rid of gnats? I’ve been using a combination of hydrogen peroxide and water, and a Katchy trapper. This combination works for a while but not as effective as I would like, I still see gnats flying here and there. What have you all tried? Thanks!!

Is this orangish color normal for roots? They’re not soft or mushy. This is a dwarf snake plant.

Can anyone help me with my Kalanchoe? I got it six weeks ago and the blooms were great. I know blooms die off, but the new blooms are either brown or dry and don’t open, or don’t open fully. At first I thought they were maybe sun burned and discovered they need some darkness. So I made sure to keep it not too close to the window and to give it less sun. But then I’ve wondered if it’s overwatering. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions? Thanks!

Does anyone know why my mints leaves are changing color and turning almost white? I only water when the soil is dry or the leaves are beginning to droop. It is sitting on a south-facing windowsill and gets plenty of sunlight. I recently repotted into a slightly bigger plot since it was outgrowing its old one. I repotted with an equal amount of peat moss, perlite, and compost. But, this issue started before I repotted.

Okay maybe one of you can help me with this. I’ve got 2 peace Lilly’s. Both the same age, they both get watered the same amount, watered at the same time, misted at the same time, fed at the same time, Both pots have the same soil and size. Literally the only difference is the shape of the pot. can you tell me why it be of dropping and the other isn’t? it’s got strong deep green leaves, no holes ect.

I can’t figure out what my Norfolk Pine needs! It looks all dry, with its tips curled and a lot of them falling off. I put a humidifier near it to help with humidity, and I’ve been watering regularly. Help!
