i bought these plants a couple of weeks back from an online shop. i did not water them because they still seemed a little damp when i unpacked them and then i slacked and forgot to water them for too many days after and now i think they're both dead. I've since watered and put some liquid fertilizer in both, but i have no idea if that will actually help. the pics are of my areca palm and the attached plant is an English ivy. please tell me they're saveable đ or even if not I'd like to know so I can get rid of them...

Iâm not sure whatâs happening to my cactus. It sits in a window and has grown like crazy. But now itâs wilting/drooping. I havenât changed anything as far as watering, fertilizer or placement. Thanks!
Are centipedes in plants harmful
My mango tree is dying/ probably already dead. I donât know what happened. It grew pretty fast and always looked so healthy until last month. Itâs 8months old. Started getting these spots on the leaves and not looks like this đą Iâm super sad because Iâm really attached to it. Iâm sure itâs a goner. Any idea what was wrong with it?
Iâm having trouble with discoloring and wilting of one leaf, then another. I am thinking itâs from underwatering. Do I remove these troubled leaves ? What do I do?
Good morning, my friends! So Iâm having some problems with the tin man, my Aglaonema Silver Bay. He was in a good chunky soil mix when purchased, at least I thought so, and then started having droopy problems. I held off on watering him for a bit and he perked up somewhat, but then started to decline again. I checked the soil, and it wasnât as chunky as I thought and was pretty much packed and very moist around the roots. I took him out, noticed some significant root rot, but does have some new root growth that is healthy. Gently scrubbed off the gross roots and soil with a hydrogen peroxide solution, rinsed, and now Iâm letting it air dry before putting it in some distilled water. This was recommended to me by some other plant parents, but any other suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi everyone. My money tree has been struggling for about a month and Iâm not sure what to do. It has leaves that are yellowing and dry tips, theyâre mostly the older ones at the bottom but some higher up ones too. It also has weird damage that looks like pests but for the life of me I canât see anything on it. It has a history of spider mites but it definitely isnât those. Iâve treated the leaves multiple times with captain jacks, and an alcohol/castile soap mix. I also replaced the soil and used bonide granules for the last watering. Roots are totally fine and it was not outgrowing its pot. Heâs pushing out new growth but thatâs kind of recent because he stopped growing for about a month too. Iâm just at a loss and hoping someone has some ideas on what it is or what to try next. Thanks in advanced!
Does anyone know why my money treeâs leaves are turning yellow? Iâm afraid to overwater because I had an issue with fungus gnats. So is it underwatered? New to being a plant mom and need all the help I can get. Thank you!
Help!! My mango tress leaves have been turning a yellow brown recently. Does anyone know what is happening and how I can help?
I had an outbreak of fungus gnats a couple weeks agođ I now have a plug in gnat trap, yellow sticky traps in all my plants, and have been watering with a mixture of mosquito bits, peppermint castille oil, hydrogen peroxide, and insecticide-but they aren't going away! I am also putting rocks/gravel or sand on top of the soil to try to prevent future larvae. I'm getting so frustrated and hoping I don't have to repot all my plants! Any advice?? How long does it take to kill off an outbreak?
Hey! Iâve been fighting thrips for the plants in my office:( I have this prop bowl filled with moss and a couple of days ago it was full of these tiny black critters (I sprayed them with insecticide so I believe theyâre all dead now). But I just wanted to confirm these are thrips? This is my first time dealing with them so Iâd like to be able to identify them better đ
Zebra plant has been dropping leaves and it is almost like a clean cut when it happens. I noticed these spots under my largest leaf. Any advice?
Hi there! I received this lily as a gift 28 days ago and I urgently need help caring for it. I would hate to kill the second lily gifted to me. Any suggestions are appreciated. I live in an apartment and the only light indoors is the living room. About a week after receiving it I noticed browning to the flowers so I took it to the shaded patio that gets little to no sunlight. How can I revive this? Itâs in the same pot it came with and has not been fertilized. I am thinking to bring it back inside near the living room window and repotting it. Your help is greatly appreciated!
Whats wrong with my spider plant? Itâs very full and some of the leafs are soft and others are hard and folded?
Iâve had a fiddle head for almost a year now. Iâve done all the watering schedules, misted as the app tells me to, but some leaves have this weird brown grey dead looking spots. I also love him daily to get more sun. Any suggestions? Maybe heâs ready for a bigger pot?
I am the third maybe fourth owner of this beautiful Split Leaf Philodendron. The last owner couldnât keep the plant but wanted to keep the pot. So she put it in an old plastic pot that her Oleander came in. Hereâs the issue/plant-math problem: I believe the pot is far too big for this plant. Makes watering skewed and seems A bit much. In order to determine the proper pot size I under stand that I should aim for slightly (2â) more than the previous one. Or one that an accommodate the root ball with some room for growth. I donât know the size of the root ball, and donât want to unnecessarily stress the plant out just to find out without having a proper new pot ready. My brain hurts. Before I give up and guess, I was hoping someone far more qualified could please help and make an actual rational suggestion. Helpful Specs.: Current pot size: 17âx 17â Plant size: (from root to leaf tip) : 3-4ft. The plant is set down by about from the top of the pot: 7â *for reference I used my husbands 48â ruler in one of pics.
Should I trim this leaf off of my Fiddle Fig? Iâve had it for over a year and all the new leaves have been bright and shiny, but this one is dull and has split at the top. It is also blocking a second stalk that has been working its way slowly around it. Thanks!
What is this with my soil? Itâs not there initially but seems to arrive after some time. Can someone advise? It would be much appreciated.
So I picked up this monstera adansonii a few days ago and have been monitoring this few leaves hoping itâs nothing serious. But I wanted to put a post up just in case this ends being something that is time sensitive that I just donât know about. If anybody has info and what it might be and what to do about it. Please let me know!
Any advice on keeping a cat away from plants? I have non-toxic and toxic plants to pets with the toxic ones nigh impossible to reach. She has an obsession with nibbling on everything even a Chinese evergreen which is supposedly toxic (I moved this to out of her reach). Any advice on how to dissuade? Iâve tried orange peel and vinegar near the pots, aluminum foil, and cat grass. Any advice is appreciated!
