Hi š I have recently started my plant journey and have been having an issue with little critters. I believe to be gnats. I have watered with peroxide, sprinkling cinnamon ontop after. I have sticky traps but they just seem to keep coming. I have also started bottom watering, I had read it'll keep the soil on top drier with less likely chances of the bugs being attacked to the damp soil. Advice welcome š

Mosquitoes everywhere⦠I bought some plants online and repotted them in a cute plastic potā¦. I was hesitant about bringing plants to my house because I have always heard that plants will bring insects to your house. Well now there are tiny tiny mosquitoes every time I move the plants . I sprayed insect killer for indoor plants and still those mosquitoes did not go away. They came back a week after spraying the plants. And it looks like the plants did not like it. They became some yellow and some with brown tips ⦠Please help!
Hello! I bought this plant today. The sticker said it was a split leaf philodendron but from what Iāve gathered on this app itās a monstera deliciosa. One leaf has a big brown tip, it is brown and dry. There are two other small leaves where the tips appearing to start to do the same. Top soil is dry, is it dry about half way down and bottom half is cool and slightly slightly damp. The lady at the store said to repot in a month and water when top soil had been dry for a couple days. Does anyone have an idea of what could be wrong? If so do you have any advice on how to fix it? Thank you so much!!

Hello everyone! I have a question. I bought my first monstera and it had been cut in some places when I bought it. The cut sections don't look great but I'm not sure what to do with them. Do I leave them alone or completely cut them right off? I'm by no means an expert in plants but I've always wanted this one so I need to make sure she's as happy as she can be. Don't judge my pot, this is what it came in, I'm just letting it get use to my house before changing to much. :) thanks
hi friends, looking to see if anyone has any suggestions for how to help my poor medusa head. iāve had this plant for a couple years now, and she had always been pretty low maintenance. one day, i noticed a bunch of her tentacles starting to turn yellow and fall off, which i recognized as a symptom of root rot. i did have her in a pot with a drainage hole, but upon taking her out, i realized the drainage hole had gotten severely impacted at some point. she was probably sitting in damp soil for much longer than she shouldāve been, and since she was always one of the lower priority plants, i let her go way too long without noticing. i repotted her about 9 weeks ago, and her soil has remained decently damp so i havenāt given her regular watering. i have misted her though. i also want to note that i am using a grow light indoors for her. before all this happened, i kept her outside in the winter but took her in for the summer, as i live in the desert and havenāt been successful leaving cascading succulents like this outside during the intense heat. it was when i moved her in for the summer that i noticed her poor health. as you can see in the photos, she mustāve lost 75% of her tentacles, and theyāre continuing to turn yellow and fall off *much* quicker than any regrowth is happening. sheās also pretty loose in the soil, as in she hasnāt really rooted down and if i wanted to i could probably lift her straight out of the dirt without doing any digging. there is a little bit newer growth on top, from many months ago, that is still green and healthy looking. iām hoping thereās a way to save this top growth even though her base is starting to look like a lost cause. any advice, personal experience, or general anecdotes would be greatly appreciated. eternal thanks for taking the time to read this post š±š
My friend gave me this pup off of her huge aloe plant 2 months ago. It has started to form these strange brown spots on the tips of a few leaves, and turn slightly purple in some other areas. I was wondering if I could be overwatering it? Iāve been only doing so when Planta tells me to and the soil is dry. So in summary, what are these brown spots and what am I doing wrong? Thanks!
