What is wrong with my flamingo lily? I bought it like this from FB marketplace and I have never owned one before so I don't know much about these.

Hello everyone! Recently came across this group in hopes to have some guidance regarding our newly completed backyard! We currently reside in Folsom/Sacramento, California. We planted 5 prunas carolinianas laurel trees with our contractor on a drip system with 2 gallon emitters. We have set up the Bee Hyve irrigation system as well (love it so far!). Our trees were planted in beginning June during the heat of Summer...we have consistently stayed in the upper 90's to 100+ degrees these past few months but finally have gotten down to the 80's this week for the first time. We currently water the trees daily (40mins with the 2 gallon emitters at the bases of each tree). We have recently noticed the leaves starting to curl up (shown below) as well as one tree turning slightly more yellow. I went to our local Green Acres and they mentioned to start watering less days in the week as the temperature cools. My question is these leaves starting to curl up-is this normal for the season change? Are we still watering too much? Is there something we are missing? I also have pulled back the rock below our tree to unearth the dirt and the dirt is still damp an inch or so from top soil. My assumption is, Iâm still watering too much? My wife and I are trying to become better with care for our plants and the last thing we want is for these trees to die on us! Thank you in advance for your help!
Hi, Iâm wondering if i should pull/cut the âbadâ looking leaves/stems on this Bird of Paradise plant? Iâve got new leaves/stems growing around them, should i get rid of the rest? Thanks
Hello - We have a ficus tree given to us by my FIL that he grew from a seedling and is now almost 40 years old! It's been looking very rough over the past year with progressive loss of leaves and fullness. The leaves tend dry up and fall off, but it also drops healthy looking green leaves. There isn't much natural light in the room so we have a grow light and try to rotate the plant regularly to provide even coverage. The lamp is on 9 hour daily timer. I've tried longer/shorter periods of light with varying intensities. It's potted in a plastic container with drainage holes and there are rocks on top. I've tried more/ less frequent watering intervals. I've tried misting the leaves. There is no direct air/heat on the plant. Any advice would be greatly appreciated to help rescue this old family tree! Thanks!
Help! This rubber tree was a gift a few years ago and I LOVED it. Always throwing out new leaves and getting tall and pretty. Then I had an issue with sugar ants earlier this year- they were all over the pot! I panicked and put it outside. I left for the summer and, honestly, since I live in Seattle I assumed it wouldnât survive. But it has! Itâs pretty scorched in some spots, but itâs continued to grow and even has a new branch forming near the base. Anyway, long story short, Iâd like to bring it inside again. How do I help it get healthy again? Is it safe to chop it down below the scorched stuff and propagate the healthy stuff on top? Any tips for transitioning it back to inside?
Can I bring this zz plant back to life or should I just give up on it đ©
How do I save my birds of paradise and stingray plant? The stingray plant had fungus gnats I donât know how. But it spread to my other plants đ„Č!!! Someone have any tips on getting rid of them?
what do we think about my baby monstera? I just repotted him to be in a more root bound pot, with perlite. previously was in potting mix in like a 6in pot
About 2 days ago I separated and reported my peace lily into 3. They are all drooping. Any ideas as to why. Google said it can be a number of things and that if cared for properly theyâll bounce back in about a week but Iâm just worried they wonât make it. Any tips or ideas?
Hi everyone! Relatively new to houseplants here so apologies if this has been asked to death but I have these tiny yellow-ish bugs crawling about on the underside of my Monstera - and I've definitely noticed some spots of browning on the leaves also. I tried Google lens-ing but that didn't help. I've just wiped them off for now but this is the 3rd time I've noticed them coming back. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! :) thank youu
Hello! I bought an Audrey Ficus tree a few months ago for my office. I put into my plant app - Planta, for a watering routine. It quickly started dying and lots of leaves were falling off. I spoke to someone who had this space before us and had the same plant in the same spot and theirs was thriving. She said itâs likely overwatered and to let it dry out and then just water it with a pint glass of water once a week. Iâve been doing that and itâs been a bit better but itâs still loosing a few leaves on a weekly basis. Iâve included a photo of its most recently dropped leaf and where it is sitting (in a southwest facing window in nyc). How often and how much water should it be getting? I last watered it with a pint of water on Thursday. Soil already feels dry. Getting mixed responses on this. Any advice appreciated! Thank you!
Please help me. What happened to this monstera? Is it heal able?
Is my Albo rotting?? No odors yetâŠ
Hi there! Iâm a new plant mom and Iâm trying to figure out whatâs causing the brown spots on 3 of my plants. Is it pests? Should I cut the affected stems? I acquired a bunch of plants and some had been outside but they werenât brown when I got them. Any knowledge helps!(:
Iâve inherited a lovely (and huge) split leaf philodendron from my husbandâs aunt. (Sheâs moving and canât fit the plant in her new place). We moved the plant to our place on Saturday and the poor thing is in shock from the car transport. (Leaves totally droopy and looking rather sad.) I gave her some water and am doing my best to help her settle in. Should I keep waiting to see if she perks up? Or, Given that the droopy stems/leaves are so heavy, should I stake a moss pole to help support her droopy leaves and encourage her to climb upward? Sheâs never been staked (she has the thickest trunk Iâve ever seen on a philodendron) but the green stems growing from it are now very droopy. Photo below is BEFORE she was moved. I think she could use something to climb. Thoughts?
The table for this plant said it was good for comple darkness and shade, normally this room is completely dark, but I don't think that's right because it doesn't look healthy if anyone has any tips or information please comment it down below. ( i opened the window for this picture).
Hi again, you might have seen my last post (photo below). A few people helped me identify what was going on with my baby. So now I need opinions should I remove the affected leaves or should I let them stay, after I completely get rid of the problem?
Can someone please help with some advice on Dieffenbachias? I have tried so many times and this is ALWAYS the end result đ„Č
eggs of some sort or mold? disappeared basically as soon as I touched it
I don't know what is going on with this alocasia ninja. When I received him he looked rough but nowâŠ. If I take it out the soil and put it in water will it make it? Should I just cut that leaf off?
