What is growing out of my cilantro? There’s a tall leafy stalk growing out of my cilantro. The leaves look very different on it. Is this the “flowering” that I’m supposed to pinch off?

It’s called bolting and yes it’s going to flower so best to cut it off.

Definitely cut cilantro regularly to delay bolting a little. Bolting changes the taste and the leaf shape as it prepares to flower and put out seeds. The taste will become bitter when it bolts. Also, cilantro likes cool spring and fall weather. They bolt when the weather warms up. 🪴🍀
