Help! My spider plant has really bad root rot and mold, how do I save it?
Wear gloves to prevent bacterial spread and disinfectant hands, tools and the area after handling. Cut out all of the rot including leaves and roots. Use a commercial fungicide if needed. Rinse with hydrogen peroxide to disinfect all of the plant. Place in soil with lots of perlite to help drain. Water only when it starts to droop slightly. The roots will thicken and hold more water. Better to under water than to over water a spider plant. Don’t follow a strict schedule without verifying the plant actually needs water. They like bright indirect sunlight or 12 hours near a grow light. 🪴🍀
