My Amazonian elephant ear plant (his name is Betelgeuse) is yellowing. I found out I was overwatering and I reduced the amount of watering but he’s still turning. He also lost several leaves. Does anyone have any input?

a yellow leaf is a dead leaf :( inspect the roots and properly remove any rot. then id give it a chop above a node and hope for new growth
0 Me gustawhat do you mean chop above a node? and how do I remove root rot? do I rinse?
0 Me gustawell if the roots are rotted, you’ll know. they’ll be mushy and black. rinse the roots with room temp water & use sterilized clippers (just wiped down with isopropyl) and cut alllll the rotted bits off. then let it sit for like 10 minutes before either potting in soil, or sticking it in a cup of water. Personally, i’d stick it in water for a few weeks before putting it in soil cuz i think roots grow faster that way. and you said it had lost other leaves. i’d cut the stem down just ABOVE where one of the lower leaves had dropped (that’s a node)… it’s such a pretty plant i’m sorry you’re dealing with this :(
1 me gustaThe soil doesn’t look great either so I would do all Emily rose said and when you repot her give her fresh chunky soil. Godspeed!! 💚💚
