Anyone know what this is?
Anyone know what this is?
sorry, no idea but YUCK! 𤢠hope u figure it out!
3 Me gustaThank you so much⦠I hope I find out too. Someone said they look like eggs. Another said it looks like fungus I just donāt know.š¤·š»āāļø
0 Me gustai was thinking eggs too that why i was worried & grossed out haha. well, either way if it were me i would probably take the plant out, treat its roots with a fungicide & insecticide (arber has both you can mix together), then repot with new soil. iād use a different pot š„ or clean it very very well.
1 me gustaGreat advice thank you!! Also thank you for the suggestion for arbor that I can mix. Iām pretty grossed out too :P

Itās a kind of mold. I just spray hydrogen peroxide on it and try to wash away any excess with water. Itās happened to a couple plants of mine that my mom overwatered when I was on vacation š. The plants are stilly alive and thriving. Donāt worry too much. :)

Itās a sign of over watering if I didnāt make that clear. Lol i also thought it was eggs and freaked out. But yeah, itās just a super spherical mold/fungus.
7 Me gustaWOW!!! NK?!!!! Just from over watering?!! Okay⦠good to know. Now itās kind of funny that it only happened to the plants that I put rocks in the bottom of the pot. Would you suggest not doing that again? Do you think some reason the rocks were holding too much moisture? One of my plants is a peace, Lily and you know how much they love Water⦠What are your thoughts?

adding rocks to the bottom of your pot impedes drainage and will keep the soil wet longer, but the mold can be from lack of airflow as well as overwatering. if they canāt be placed on an open shelf (like wire mesh or slatted wood), i like to prop my terracotta pots up on some cork feet (wine corks cut in half) to make sure thereās airflow around the bottom of the pot
6 Me gustaAhhhh šš½ ok great helpā¦THANK YOUUUU and so do my greenies š¤
1 me gustaflowerpot fungus. can be detrimental to the roots. repot after disinfecting plant
1 me gustaat least, detrimental within my experience. itās a pain in the butt. it can spread to other plants so be on the lookout
1 me gustaThis is just slime mold. Itās not harmful at all to the plant and doesnāt need to be treated. It breaks down organic matter and provides nutrients to your plants. You donāt need to remove it but can if it bothers you.
3 Me gustaOooh ok⦠slime mold! Iāve never experienced this before. I have experienced ādog vomitā THAT mold freaked me out!! However it did not harm my trees or plants ā¦. Just looked horrible. Thank you for the advice and your experience. Iām definitely going to repot and give her some new soil. Iāll feel better after I check her roots as well š¤

Snail eggs?!
1 me gustaItās slime mold. Not harmful to your plant at all. You can scrape it off if it bothers you. Itās kinda cool if you look it up. Just maybe increase airflow or decrease watering to your plant
2 Me gustaEVERYONE⦠THANK YOU!! I appreciate ALL the experience, advice, recommendations and prompt feedback. šš¼š„šš½šŖ“š±š
