Thank you so much… I hope I find out too. Someone said they look like eggs. Another said it looks like fungus I just don’t know.šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

i was thinking eggs too that why i was worried & grossed out haha. well, either way if it were me i would probably take the plant out, treat its roots with a fungicide & insecticide (arber has both you can mix together), then repot with new soil. i’d use a different pot 😄 or clean it very very well.

It’s a kind of mold. I just spray hydrogen peroxide on it and try to wash away any excess with water. It’s happened to a couple plants of mine that my mom overwatered when I was on vacation šŸ˜“. The plants are stilly alive and thriving. Don’t worry too much. :)

It’s a sign of over watering if I didn’t make that clear. Lol i also thought it was eggs and freaked out. But yeah, it’s just a super spherical mold/fungus.

WOW!!! NK?!!!! Just from over watering?!! Okay… good to know. Now it’s kind of funny that it only happened to the plants that I put rocks in the bottom of the pot. Would you suggest not doing that again? Do you think some reason the rocks were holding too much moisture? One of my plants is a peace, Lily and you know how much they love Water… What are your thoughts?

adding rocks to the bottom of your pot impedes drainage and will keep the soil wet longer, but the mold can be from lack of airflow as well as overwatering. if they can’t be placed on an open shelf (like wire mesh or slatted wood), i like to prop my terracotta pots up on some cork feet (wine corks cut in half) to make sure there’s airflow around the bottom of the pot

This is just slime mold. It’s not harmful at all to the plant and doesn’t need to be treated. It breaks down organic matter and provides nutrients to your plants. You don’t need to remove it but can if it bothers you.

Oooh ok… slime mold! I’ve never experienced this before. I have experienced ā€˜dog vomit’ THAT mold freaked me out!! However it did not harm my trees or plants …. Just looked horrible. Thank you for the advice and your experience. I’m definitely going to repot and give her some new soil. I’ll feel better after I check her roots as well šŸ¤—

It’s slime mold. Not harmful to your plant at all. You can scrape it off if it bothers you. It’s kinda cool if you look it up. Just maybe increase airflow or decrease watering to your plant
