i recently got this string of turtles and im not sure what im doing wrong 😭 hes been in the same pot since i repotted him, he currently lives in the upper pot of a two tier hanging pot which was recently lowered since i thought he wasnt getting enough light? but he also has a grow light which im not sure is helping him but the rest of my plants in that area love it i follow the planta schedule usually for watering but watch his soil too so i dont think hes being overwatered? his one strand looks okay but i think is dying is there anything i can do to save him? 😭

    You might want to size down to a smaller pot. It may not be getting enough water. You could even just take it out and wrap the roots in wet sphagum moss. And let it re-establish.

      do you know if string of turtles enjoy lots of water or if they are drier plants? im gonna do that and see what helps Thank you!

      They like to have their soil dry out, but definitelynot as much as a normal succulent. When you have them in a large pot like that though, and you water. The water goes everywhere in the pot. And doesn't always get to the small plants roots. It's why it's not recommended to size up pots too quickly. Strings will propogate in water though. And I usually propogate them this way, with wrapping in damp moss and following a water schedule when it dries

    The lady that i got my string of turtles said to keep the soil moist not wet all the time just somewhat moist all the time and mines going strong and growing I’ve had it for about 6 months now. Also she said to water it from the bottom sometimes and let the water go up from the bottom holes if you have that option. I hope this helps and i hope your little turtles start striving! :)
