Browning edges on new-to-me fern leaf cactus? Third pic shows that the white/light bits are roots growing out. Anyway, what the heck could be turning a few of the tips black? Had the plant for about a month.

Hey there! I’ve got an old fern leaf cactus. When I first brought her home she had some necrotic tips shortly after that I think may have been from a) shock from the relocation or b) overwatering on my part. I wait until she is dry dry dry before watering, and then when I do, I don’t offer much. She’s a Central American epiphyte (sorry if you know this already!) so she really doesn’t want to be in my wall pot and would much rather grow up the side of a tree with her aerial roots! I think these plants fall into the “set and forget” category of care! From why I can see, the rest of your plant looks healthy and beautiful! Good luck, I hope my story helps you a little! I’ll include a picture for reference.

This is super helpful! Thank you! I think I may be overwatering. I might repot, too!
