Today I found a thrip on a donkey’s tail so I treated it will insecticidal soap. Should I now just treat all 31 plants in the area to be safe? I ask because most of the plants are not due to be watered and worry they will be overwatered if I do. I thought I got rid of the awful thrip issue over the last month but wrong I am. Thank you for advice.

I would definitely be concerned about thrips. If you're concerned about over watering you could just spray the foliage with insecticidal soap or pyrethrins to stem the tide but it might be worth one extra watering with inappropriate pesticide to attack the larvae that are in the soil. Make sure you treat the back sides of the leaves as well as the top.

Personally yes. They are retarded fliers, but the can fly to nearby plants

Thank you. So are you saying that if it were you, you would just spray the leaves and stems for now or that you would treat them all with insecticidal soap? I know that I did not get the thrip that I saw because it took off before I could terminate— lol

I sprayed my plant with neem oil diluted in water and I’m praying they’re going to go away now. I had an infestation A YEAR AGO!!! Like what the heck how are they coming in?! I didn’t get any new plats and they’re indoor plants 🫠😩😩 I hate them I’m so sorry you’re dealing with them too and I can’t be much help.
