My air plant does that when the air/she is feeling a bit dry. I’ve started misting her between soaks; and this seems to be helping with her crispy tips. I’ve also trimmed off the bigger brown tips, being careful not to cut into the green bits. That’s just for aesthetics though, not a necessity. If you live in a not very humid area, this is most likely the issue 😊 🌱
2 J'aimeokay! what part of the plant do you mist?
1 j'aimeWhen I mist my Xerographica I hold her upright and gently mist her all over; until she’s dripping water. I don’t mist down into the top of the plant, so no water catches there. Then I turn her upside down on a towel to dry. She’s usually completely dry in a few hours. I do that twice a week between soaks which are usually every 9-ish days.
1 j'aimeYes! We had the same problem and it turned out that is was not getting enough water as well as too much sun! (Double whammy!) :)
