Is my philo not happy or is this normal?
Does it have matching spots on the other side of the leaf? If so, it might just be EFN.
1 mi piaceYep I think it’s EFN (nectar). Wiping down the leaves or rinsing the plant in the sink/shower regularly can help prevent them from burning through the leaves

1 mi piaceIt could be edema, excess water in the cells that burst. Don’t water using strict schedule. Verify the soil actually needs water.
1 mi piaceIs this common?
1 mi piaceYes. Edema is more common than most people realize. Transpiration is the standard process where moisture releases from the leaves in the form of water vapor. Sometimes the roots take in more water than the plant can use. So, the excess moisture swells the leaves, then, pop. Also, too high humidity or poor airflow around the plant can slow transpiration. - Check the humidity is within the range that the plant needs - Ensure there is good airflow around the plant - Check the plant actually needs water. Don’t follow a water schedule
