My syngoniums are really sick. ive been watering them when planta tells me too but at this point I don’t know what to do. I’ve given it plant food as well. what’s wrong with it?

YolandaNever water when Planta tells u all the time. It’s best to always check the soil before watering. The plant looks like it’s in great stress. If your soil is super wet I would get the plant out of it.. check your roots to make sure you don’t have root rot!

KadesHighly agree! I was overwatering my syngos with plantas recs. Killed a few but now I check the soil when planta recommends but if it’s still wet I will snooze the reminder. The ai should learn to adjust the reminder times after a few snoozes. Just make sure to mark it as watered the day you actually water!

Michelle’s HobbyAre you counting the fertilizer days as watered? If it tells you to water them and the next day to fertilize you should only do one. I fertilize when it says and skip watering the next time if the soil is still wet.

SunnyIt looks over watered. Low light can give the same look to the plant. Check for root rot. Repot if it’s root bound. Water after the soil dries and not by schedule. Fertilizer should bring out the dark patterns in the leaves when everything else is balanced. Give it bright indirect light or 12 hours under a grow light each day.🪴🍀

If you're not sure about when to water, a water meter can be useful. You do have to be careful though because the ions and fertilizer can cause the moisture meter to give false readings.
