Just bought this Crown of Thorns and a couple of leaves are stained reddish, not raised or anything. It almost looks like just variegated but Plant AI told me it's fungus. I don't think so but I wanted another opinion. Help.

Did you try the Planta app? I did a couple days ago for a plant of mine (skeptical) and it told me exactly what to do and what was wrong! Since I changed a couple things my plant has gotten so much better! Not the same plant but this app is really helpful!

I'll try it but haven't had much luck with it in the past.

So… DrChatGPT says.. ‘That looks like mild stress coloration — fairly common in Euphorbia milii (Crown of Thorns). The reddish blush can happen when the plant gets more direct sun, a sudden temperature shift, or goes a bit dry between waterings. It’s not usually a disease sign unless the patch turns brown, papery, or starts spreading irregularly. If the leaves stay firm and the redness is mostly on older ones, it’s likely just sun or seasonal stress. If they’re soft or spotting, then you’d want to check for overwatering or root issues.’ Not sure if that helps?
