Tomato help

My tomatoes were doing so well. I bought them from Home Depot with four already growing but after a few weeks the leaves seemed to be looking sadder and sadder. I water them every other day plus spray the leaves with water. I have them indoors because of the squirrels and this place has the most light. Any suggestions on what I can do to save them? They have plant food too so not sure what’s happening.

If you’re watering every other day that’s way too often. You shouldn’t need to water more than every 4-5 days. Maybe even less when indoors.

Agreed mine are in a raised bed with lots of sun I water them every 2 days and they’re pretty big. Also have read recently you don’t want to wet the leaves. I found tomato plants are one of the easier things to grow ! 😁

First. Don’t buy them if they already have fruit. I hold back the fruit until the plant is more established. Second Tomatoes need to be outdoors. With it already fruiting it needs more sun to keep up with production or it’ll die. If I were you I’d try to get one of the suckers and start a whole new plant this ones about done for. You can put the sucker in water and it’ll root then transfer it outside.

So just take the one of the tomatoes that’s already growing and replant it?

No a sucker is a new leader (new growth) between the main stem and a leaf.

You are probably watering it too often also tomatoes should be outside.

I should have taken into the account the environment when watering them. Thank you.
