This is my flaming Katy, I got it about 2 weeks ago, and 6 days ago I noticed flowers wilted so I pruned them and then the leaves wilted so I pruned those too then I noticed this white stuff appeared. And underneath the white stuff the stem is black I got this plant from CVS and I don't know what to do.
Could be some sort of fungal infection…how are the roots? Did you repot after bringing it home? How often are you watering?
0 gillningarI did not repot it after buying because it seemed fine. But I just checked the roots and they were black, green and yellowish. I water every 11 days (following planta schedule) I fixed it in dish soap and water and then used a q-tip and I got all the black and white stuff off. And sanitized new dirt and repotted it. So hopefully it grows back!
