My Christmas Tree Kalanchoe at the office seems stressed although I’m not too sure what it’s from. Her leaves started pointing downward sometime around May/June but I’ve had her here since January. She had seemed fine for a while but I’m starting to think I might be keeping the grow light on too long, but I also worry about her not getting enough light because I feel like she looks a little etiolated since her leaves seem to be growing a little far apart. Does anyone know what causes leaves to angle down? Can incorrect lighting cause it? Is there anything else I should try to get her healthier? Thank you!

Hello, over all it looks healthy for me. 💕just a bit leggy, which usually happens when it isn’t getting enough light. 🌿 I’d try moving it to a brighter spot with several hours of direct sun, then gradually acclimate it to avoid sunburn. Try pruning the stretched stems to encourage bushier growth, I did this many times and it works then propagate the cuttings? Wishing your little plant a speedy recovery! 💚🌱

Thank you for the advice! Would I prune this Kalanchoe by snipping the top off of the stems, like basil? I will definitely try to propagate the cuttings! I haven’t tried that with this plant yet.

yes 🥰 by snipping the top forces new growth below so you will more leaves to come🥰
