I’m very new to plants (I made an offhand comment about wanting to have plants and my best friend got me a plant, bless him, but did so without even looking the plant up on google) and I’ve only had this blue star fern a week but now it’s looking very white/pale. The little information i’ve found says that it might be due to, too little light. It’s been near a south/south east facing window ever since I got it, which gets a decent amount of light all morning and near a humidifier. Can anyone let me know what I’m doing wrong? 😌

I’m not really sure, but it looks very sad. It could be a very heavy infestation of mealy bugs. Maybe try wrapping the pot in a plastic bag so that the soil won’t get wet and wash the entire plant in the shower then treat with insecticidal soap. Or wash the leaves individually with neem solution. I use neem oil, mixed with a little dish detergent diluted with water. And send this photo to Planta diagnosis for suggestions. You learn as you go. We all did😐
