Hi! What are these spots on the Echinopsis? How do you get rid of them? Repotted these guys from the ground to a pot and saw they had these spots. (They were covered in weeds and grass clippings - if that helps)

    Just make sure that you’re taking care of it well enough and they should go away

    They look like they might be scale. To test you can put some isopropyl alcohol onto a cotton swab and wipe one of the spots. If it comes off fairly easily it’s probably scale. If not it might be a “scab” from mechanical damage. I have never dealt with a scale issue, but from what I know if its scale you keep the plant quarantined away from other plants and manually remove any scales a couple times a week until you don’t see any for a month. But definitely double check me on that treatment method.

    I think it could be scale too! I’ll see if it comes off with alcohol on a q-tip. (My plants have gotten scale before but those were tiny and white; they can kill the plant if not removed )
