i think i need to repot my golden pothos because the soil doesn't look super nutritious and its been a long time but i am TERRIFIED because this plant is like 20 years old and has been in this pot for almost that long. the plant is doing well, but i think it would do better with some new soil. the reason the plant isnt massive after being around for 20ish years is because my mom trimmed it a lot and also tried to kill it through neglect last year and i saved it. i want to keep it in the same pot even though its probably too big.

    I would fs do a repot with some new soil and check her roots to see how big of a pot she should be in! if her rootball is a lot smaller than your current one but you still want to keep it in that decorative pot, you could always put her in a plastic pot that’s more suitable for her size and pop that one into the decorative one! you could also propagate some cuttings if you want to give her a fuller look!

      thank you so much i didnt even think of putting a smaller pot in. im growing some clippings right now to help it look fuller!

    I have 4 Goldens in the same bowl and they work together nicely to look full and dry the soil quickly enough to not get root rot. If your new cuttings get roots this is a great option! I have 4 plants in this 12" bowl and focus watering more directly on each rootball than soaking the whole thing.
