Is something eating my plants? My plants have been growing undisturbed up until now and then when I checked on them this morning, I saw these really weird bike marks on them and I’m wondering if this is from some kind of animal I only really see squirrels and birds in my yard but we have had the occasional bunny trespass although my plants are raised off the ground like 30/35 inches

Any chance there are leaf-cutting ants where you live?

I did get a little ant infestation that I irradiated. They were farming aphids though. They could be leaf cutting? I’ll have to research it

If there's a university near you with an entomology department, they might be able to tell you over the phone or by email. Entomologists, in my experience, are pretty chill and excited to talk about local bug life. Good luck! I hope whatever is eating your plants doesn't do too much damage.
