Hello! I got this little dude from Home Depot and he was wilty and sad looking. I moved him into a different pot (moving him back to the nursery pot soon bc of no drainage) is there anything else that can help revive him other than the drainage in the pot? Some leaves are dry and stuff some aren’t. I want to try to rehab him so bad because he’s adorable, I believed it’s a silver nerve plant.

When they dry out like this, they need water, but if you put a bunch in at one time, they drown. I find it's best to add a small amount of water at a time over like a whole day, even two days, instead of flooding the pot. If you find that it's beyond saving, don't feel bad-- these plants only have so many dramatic wilts in them before they give up and die.

That looks like a fittonia, so you have a decent chance. go ahead and repot to give it drainage. (You can repot without disturbing the roots if you use the same size and let the dry compacted soil stay in one piece.) Once it's in a pot with drainage, give it a long (20 minutes to an hour should do) bottom-watering soak to help it rehydrate. Make sure the excess water drains very thoroughly afterwards. Fittonias like relatively frequent watering and will dramatically faint when dehydrated, but the good news is they tend to bounce back pretty well. In the future, try not to let it do its drama-wilting

Cut off all of the dead stuff. Maybe increase humidity too. Also, pics can be deceptive but are the little black dots on the stems possibly thrips?

He was $5 but wasn’t as dry like he is now. Just very very wilted.

Agree. I bought this a couple of months ago and put it in a glass vase with water in leca for more humidity and it seems to like it. Doesn’t dry out with less frequent watering. I also mist it every few days/week or so…
