I am having some issues with my babies drying out fast- it feels like I’m watering twice a week when the app is telling me once every few days? I’m wondering if how I’m watering is wrong and where I might learn how to water? I decided to bottom water with these babies today and they soaked up almost 1/3 gallon of water. When I’m bottom watering, I just let it drink until it’s done and then remove it once the water stops soaking up and dump the water to avoid root rot/it sitting in water. I use a watering can usually and just add a bit of water but any watering advice works. I do live in a desert climate and it’s been in the 90s and I keep my house on 76. I mist about every other day.

Yeah that seems pretty normal with the high temps and low humidity. Are the plants outside?

They drink a lot more in this season. Especially in a desert. Maybe alternate top and bottom watering. When top watering I water thoroughly, till it’s pouring out the bottom. Then I wait till it stops dragging and put them back. For bottom watering I let them dot in the water for about 30 min then take them out and let them drain. I live in Colorado, so it’s dry here, just not desert dry.

It’s summer time! Plants are gonna want more water even if they are inside!
