Does anyone know what this is inside my wandering Jews water. They are just stars and barely have any roots so i don’t want to plant some of them yet but they continue to get this green stuff. I change the water and add one drop of liquid fertilizer.
The green stuff is algae.

Not really that bad for the plant, can make it difficult for the roots to get oxygen if dead algae accumulates on them, but if you change your water regularly, and have fertilizer it’ll be fine and kind of hard to avoid. Just give the roots a bath once in a while and gently scrub them with your fingers.
