Does anyone know what could cause this kind of damage on my golden pothos? Splotchy yellowing and small brown spots, the hole is unrelated, I accidentally poked it 😅

the little white dots at the very bottom look a bit like spider mites to me, I’d check to see if you find any pests in the plant!

Sometimes my leaves on my pothos will do this. Its usually an older leaf that turns yellow and dies so new leaves can grow.

It was an older leaf so that may be part of it, thank you for the feedback :)

I just went through this.. don’t think it’s spider mites. I would say more fungal issues, lack of nutrients in the soil and poor air flow. I would check the pot, back off on watering, clean all leaves with insecticidal soap, pull your plant out the soil check your roots anything black or looks rotten or smell bad cut that away. Then spray the roots with either neem oil or hydrogen peroxide mixed with water. Repot in fresh soil and water with purified water. I wouldn’t use tap water on this plant for a while. I have started watering my pothos with fish fertilizer.

I think this could play a part in it as well, I do think the plant needs a smaller pot so maybe it’s getting too much water..Thank you for the tip!

Yes I was told at that nursery when we repot you only go up maybe a couple sizes bigger than the root ball. So if it’s in a 4 inch pot only go up to a 6 inch pot when you repot. The more soil the plant has around it the longer it takes for it to dry out even if the root ball has already dried out. The plant then keeps getting unevenly watered.

With fish fertilizer? Everything else sounded very legit why fish fertilizer?

Well I should say what they use to aide keeping the water clean for fishes instead of fertilizer. However this was suggested to me to purify tap water
