HI ! I need to repot my indoor garden plants - what is the best way of doing this ? And what kind of soil?? Second point - what is a good fertiliser?! Princess Muddy Hands

    Try picking it up then wash it till you see the roots, then put it in the pot and then fill the pot with soil. Have fun!!!

    Hey all u have to do is get a pot 2 inches bigger then ur old one because if it’s too big u will get root rot, the type of soil is tricky because it really depends on the plant I like making a mix myself with leftover soil, perlite, and orchid bark , ALSO if unless your plant has hydrophobic soil or soil that holds on to water way to well leave the roots alone moving the roots or untangling them may lead to ur plant going into shock!!!

      If they are in a plastic pot inside a ceramic - do I take out of plastic and put straight into ceramic ??

      Hmm I don’t really know about that u don’t have to I usually just get a bigger plastic pot

      Those ceramic pots usually don’t have enough drainage. If you’re talking about the ones that have one single hole, I wouldn’t repot them in those. I would keep doing the same, repotting in a plastic pot that has good drainage and placing them inside the nicer looking ceramic pot. Increase an inch or 2 in size and soil depends on type of plant. Although I usually mix my own by adding perlite and other chunky type things. More or less chunky stuff depending on type of plant.

    Best fertilizer ever is Coast of Maine Squid Concentrate. Smells disgusting but it turbocharges my plant growth.
