Is this mold or something? I bottom water my pot. It’s in pure coco coir, this showed up one day. If it’s bad I want to repot the plant. If not I see no point in stressing it out. Thank you!

    I would gently take it out of the pot and scrape that stuff off. Totally some sort of mold or fungus.

      Agreed. Probably nothing too serious. Might be that the soil stays moist a little too long between waterings, it’s a little humid in your house, or you’re letting it sit in the water for too long during waterings. You can gently scrape it off with a plastic knife through the slits at the bottom or by popping it out of the pot, then adding some hydrogen peroxide to the water the next time you bottom-water it. Make sure you wash out the containers you use to water it at least once a month, or wipe it dry throughout the week after waterings. Hope this helps 😊

    It's mycellium. It's most likely flowerpot parasol, which is a harmless mushroom that likes the same soil conditions as houseplants. It'll cover the surface of the soil and then bloom. The mushroom part is a shortlived reproduction thing like flowers, so it'll fade back and return to being nearly invisible mycellium (like fungus roots) again. The other common mushroom species in plant pots are the coprinoid and inkcap families. While these are not dangerous, they also aren't edible. If you have curious pets or children that might try to eat the bloom, you should remove it (just pull it out) to spare them a bad case of stomach upset. If it blooms frequently, it can indicate overwatering, but an occasional bloom just means your soil is good quality
