Happy Saturday! Can anyone tell me why my strawberry begonia has developed a white powdery substance on her leaves?

Hey, I think this could be mealy bugs, :( my old man’s cactus has them and I’ve just had to isolate and treat him. Planta has a section on how to treat them, Hope this helps.

1 LikePowdery mildew - it develops on the leaves and occasionally on the stems. Symptoms first appear on the upper surface of the leaves. It usually is more pronounced during hot, and humid weather. You can treat it with some neem oil, sulfur, triforine or potassium bicarbonate (and apply every 7-14 days)

I just sprayed her with a diluted concentration of neem oil. Do I apply it to the soil as well? Thank you for your advice!
0 LikesYes you can do that as well as the leaves.
