Please help! 🚨 Does anyone recognise what this is and how to treat it? It has quite a fluffy texture and has started appearing on the stem and random spots on the leaves! The plant itself is happy and thriving, and has only ever been bottom watered so unsure on how there could be mould? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance 🙏🏻

Looks like mealy bugs, get some rubbing alcohol and wipe those suckers off

Eeeek I’ve just looked closer and you’re right! 🤢 would I be best to completely repot the plant once wiped down since there’s so much fluff on the soil?

Definitely not a bad idea. Better to be safe than sorry. Don’t reuse any of the previous soil and soak the roots in a mix of water and peroxide for about 30 minutes if you see bugs in the deeper layers of the soil and closer to the roots.

Thank you both so much! This is the first time I’ve come across this so apologies for all the questions, what product would you recommend as the peroxide?

Of course, oh no you’re fine, I’d use hydrogen peroxide and water to soak your plants roots in
