Those look like some type of aphid to me, I’d use a strong spray in the shower everywhere on this plant and then use an arber pesticide

Looks like scale. They’re closely related to aphids but a little bit harder to get rid of because of their shell. Give the plant a good long soak in some warm soapy water and then take some rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab to the scale. And yeah I definitely also recommend some sort of pesticide spray, but pesticide will only really work when they are young, once they’ve developed that brown shell that you see, it’s not really effective. You may need to kind of pick them off of the plant because they’re quite stubborn lol. Treat the plant regularly for at least a few weeks. You got this!!

That looks like a severe case of scale to me. Aphids can be brushed off but scale is stuck on. Are these stuck on?

Yes they are stuck on, I will try above methods and see.

I make a nice little cocktail of insecticidal soap and pyrethrin, garnished with a touch of sulfur for the scale to enjoy.

That’s scary to see so many covering one plant! My first reaction is to bag it and toss it! Separate it from the rest of the plants at least. Wear gloves and disinfectant tools to prevent spreading while you treat it.

It's been close contact with 6 other plants but none of them have this problem. And they are sticking to this tree plant. I've even seen this for big trees too.

New born scale insects are tiny and crawl to new plants, get on hands/clothes and are light enough to be blown by the wind to new plants. Check all your plants once a week.
