Could this crispy spot on my peperomia be due to under watering? Noticed it while watering today. I keep it under grow lights.

Prob a watering issue, mine does this sometimes but I water consistently. I notice when it’s moist it tends to do this more though. It’s weird! Maybe try a different watering cycle. Water whenever the soil is close to dry possibly?

I recently read somewhere that it's more reliable to pinch a wrinkled peperomia leaves into a taco shape to tell if it needs watering. If it's firm and resist the pinch then it doesn't need watering but if it's soft and easy to pinch then it's time to water. This particular peperomia has always been a very dramatic wilter if I wait to water on the recommend schedule.

Hmmm, if I did that to mine I think it would snap in half 😂 but you can tell using a moisture meter! I think this is the easiest way personally .

You can try and figure out where it sits on the meter when it’s happy and then try and keep it around there . The meters are only like 10 bucks too! :) but you can always use your finger!
