I can’t figure out what’s wrong with my elephant bush. This summer it was THRIVING and now all the leaves have dropped and there are 4 big ones left. There’s a few new little baby leaves. I repotted it about a week ago thinking that was maybe the problem. I only water when the soil is damp halfway up the pot. It’s an 8” pot. Please help! It’s one of my favorite plants 😭

I don’t have an elephant bush, but they’re a succulent so as a general rule, you should let the soil completely dry out before watering again. How did the roots look when you repotted? I’d expect root rot for the condition of the plant and because it doesn’t get a chance to fully dry between waterings.

This app told me it was under-watered based off of the photos I submitted. I know it’s probably not always accurate, but it said that before too when I noticed the leaves were falling off initially. Idk 🤷🏼‍♀️

The roots looked fine. There was no smell. I wonder if it has something to do with the seasons changing? I have another Liliput elephant bush and it’s doing really well, so I’m just confused. I’ll take it out of the pot again and see if I missed something.

Mine was gorgeous outside in summer getting afternoon light. I brought it inside where the light was less until I got a grow light. It got less water too. It dropped leaves for a bit. Heartbreaking!😩 it’s doing better.

This is mine shortly after I got it with exposed branches and getting east light until 11 am. The second photo is about 7 weeks later. I moved it to get west sunlight from 2pm onwards and it filled in the bare branches! I’m horrible with succulents. I just wanted this one to live and I fell in love with it!😍 It’s back to exposed branches again. I’m too emotionally invested in my plants! 😂
